That is crazy!!!! That reminds me of the time when we were musky fishing (the fish of 10,000 casts) and my youngest son was a little downtrodden that he had to leave; my other son says "one more cast, throw over there"..... Bam, he catches a musky.
 
Over the break, the Ohio State people seem to have gotten together and asked themselves "what could we do to make our streamed game telecasts even worse?"

'I know! We could zoom the main camera in really tight, and then let some drunk guy operate it!"

Malachino gets an assist, and the Ohio announcers say "... after so many games being a scratch, or the extra skater ...".

Uhhh, she has been injured; and OSU doesn't have enough forwards to have an "extra skater". How do they not know that?
 
You are seeing how much hockey, especially women's hockey, matters in yuckeyeville. Here we are now in 2026 and they still have the same old rink and the same amateur video feed for their home games

On the other side of things, Pennyante State is not looking like the 4th ranked team in the country tonight. Down 5-1 after 2 periods of play getting outshoot by the yuckers 33-14.
 
The upcoming u18 rosters are up. UM and TWSNBN have 8 each and UW 6. Looks like the 3 horse race will be continuing perpetually.
 
Back in October. Minnesota and Ohio State played a game (the second of that series) that had 21 penalties called, including the ones that came from the brawl at the end of the game.

In December, Wisconsin and Ohio State played a game (the second of the series) that had 18 total penalties called.

Today, Penn State and Ohio State played a game (the second of the series) that also had 18 penalties called.

Of the WCHA teams - not including today, I assume - Ohio State is averaging 5.26 penalties per game; everyone else is under 4 per game. Ohio State is averaging just under 14 minutes per game; everyone else is under 10 per game.
 
This week in the WCHA.....

UW at UMD. UMD gave UW all sort of trouble in Madison, but UW didn't have Simms or Edwards.
BSU at St T. The battle to get out of the basement, though I feel like both these teams aren't last place bad.
Kato UM home n home. Kato goes for the 4 game sweep this weekend! I hope all the rivers are frozen for the Rodentapolis bridge jumpers and there's plenty of snow on the ice.
TWSNBN at St. Cloud. Can St Cloud do something, anything to stem the tide of the Vadorettes.
 
Ohio St missing Peschel again, plus Swiderski, and Raunio. All three defense. Joy Dunne listed as playing D tonight.

UMD gave UW all sorts of trouble. The BADgers only scored 2 even strength goals all weekend, but still managed 4 points.
Tommies sweep and jump St. Cloud.
Kato fails miserably in their quest to sweep the season series from the Rodents.
St. Cloud falls to 7th place getting swept by TWSNBN.

This week:

UW at the Tommies.
St. Cloud at UMD in the battle of teams that don't like to score.
TWSNBN at Kato.
Rodents at BSU. Feasting on cupcakes continues.
 
Now I could obviously look this up myself but I thought we'll see who wants to answer. With the WCHA being the strongest conference how many players from it will be in the Olympics next month?
Let's make it two categories, current college players and past WCHA players and I'm asking for this years Olympics, not all Olympics
 
Life must go on, I guess, even in this forum. We all need our outlets. But legions of us are disgusted and appalled by the depredations being visited on the Midwest. I, for one, try not to be emotionally fiddling while Minneapolis burns. Keep the faith.
