WCHA 2025-26

The sinners against stonehenge...TFF. Great for women's college hockey to basically have the whole game on running time. Although I suppose it wasn't the best that they allowed the stoners to score a couple of goals.

Other than the lumberjills, the rest of the WCHA did their thing...Although, it was good the tunnelers weren't involved because they might have even struggled against the stoners, the way they have been playing lately.

Looking at it from another conference's perspective...Sheesh, Not a very good weekend for the EZAC. Even lost some games to Hockey Least teams...

This week.....

Tommies home n home with Rodents. This could be interesting.....
St. Cloud at Kato. This IS interesting. Kato can bury St. Cloud with a sweep.
UDub at twsnbn. I'm off the ledge as long as Edwards plays F. twsnbn fans think their goaltending is not quite as good as previous versions but they still are a top 6 team D nationally, UW's usually reliable D have been a tad leaky lately and will be under max pressure.
UMD at BSU. UMD gunning for 3rd place.

It's super exciting to see the Tommies and Mankato makes some waves in the league. There is hope in sight. Can they stack some quality recruiting classes and not have their great players get poached?

Rodents played with fire deep into the 3rd period in game 1, then cruise controlled from there.
Kato, you disappoint me! Game 1 was a bummer.
UDub's D was locked in.
UMD holds serve.

At the break...

37 UW
32 THSNBN
30 MN
24 UMD
17 MSU
12 St. Cloud
10 St. Thomas
6 Bemidji

So there are games this weekend!

UMD Hawvawd - I predict UMD loses 3-2 in OT.
UMD BU/Q
BSU Merrimack - is it time for bed yet?
UM Sacred Heart - A very Hallmark movie trip out east for the Frostinators to the beautiful and picturesque Sacred Heart Campus. FTR Stonehill is 8-9-1, while Sacred Heart is 5-12-1. Stonehill gf/ga 49/61; Sacred Heart 39/47.
TWSHBN PSU - can PSU get their conference some street cred?

SH lost to the Stoners 3-2 in OT. So what are odds gophers pot 12 or more?
Sacred Heart had 90 sog over 2 games against Stonehill while losing 3-2 and 2-0. 12 or more for the series or just 1 game? Rodents sweep 8-3 and 14-0.

With the tunnelers getting swept by the landcows, it's hard to have any confidence in the game being anything like what the sinners did to their NEWHA opponent. Could the unthinkable happen? Anything is possible.

You want me to predict that stuff too? I appreciate your confidence in me, but I'll pass; thought the number 57 popped into my head, so that must be a significant number for the game, besides the score of course.
This, BTW, reminds me of something that happened a couple years ago. The broadcasters for the Seattle Mariners were joking around during the pre-game, and one of them predicted the first career home run for one of the players would come that day, down to the count, the type of pitch, the inning, etc. And then it actually happened, exactly how he had predicted.
