Well this just solidified that the best thing to do as a fan at this point is to adjust your expectations, if you haven't already. They aren't going anywhere, I'm finally ready to accept that and rule out a second half hot streak. Just want to see progress from the younger players and in recruiting at this point. I still think the potential of this group is high, but its clear they won't be reaching it this year; maybe another year can do them good.

Agreed, I had some hope after Denver but feel like this weekend was probably the nail in the coffin as far as an at large bid goes. Maybe they get hot and win the HE tourney but nothing I’ve seen tells me that’s a possibility.
How less could you care ?dont clear and then take a penalty because you dont chip it out

Reality call for Barr. Rode the tails of many amazing seniors last year. Providence is not that good sorry guys (top 10 to 15 team we made them look like top 3) We just suck right now. Bad goaltending making the whole team play scared.
Ok but “right now” is this weekend. The last two weekends they played were the most complete of the yr. Everything went out the window w the second PC goal on night 1. Now it’s time for a week of practice. Two losses will so often follow a 4-0-1 streak w a team like this. So what they’re not top 6. And no one outside of that is really secure about their at-large bid, especially in the conference.
Probably too little too late, but lol maybe this is Barr making the tweak to try to get them to peak at the right time. (Goaltending is a complete disaster though I wish they could hit the portal for an AHA stud)

Muscatelli as well was completely shot mentally.
My theory is that they are pushed so hard that it elevates their game then they sort of go over the edge. Maine’s had a lot of great goaltending with Barr as coach, and it is probably the biggest factor in Maine’s success during his tenure, so it’s not like it’s all bad. Hopefully they can figure out a way to avoid burnout or whatever is happening.
