Movies: Poor Things, Barbie and Oppenheimer are stuck in La La Land

Went to Fire and Ash yesterday. All 3 hours and 17 minutes. It's the same movie. There was literally nothing new just more of the same.

I thought the first one was great. I had ideas during the film on Sat. of where I wanted it to go, and if it had gone there I would have loved it. Instead it was the same as movie 2.

I loved The Sure Thing. A great,,entertaining teen rom com. I totally forgot that was a Rob Reiner film. Looking forward to watching the special about him tonight on CBS.

I watched Jay Kelly last night. It was good. Not amazingly great. I love me some George Clooney and he was good in it. Adam Sandler was also good. But neither of them were worthy of awards. At least in my opinion.

Avatar 1 would have been a good throwaway flick but it was wildly overhyped. It's a B+; maybe even an A-. Unremarkable and forgettable despite the budget. But also not shit -- worth a view. It's one of the oldest tropes in SF, not in the least original, but so was Star Wars and that turned out okay.

It's the Beatles.

Not everything has to be 2001 or Bladerunner. The team needs bench depth too.

I take great pride in never having seen 1 minute of any Avatar film...
I don't know if I take great pride in it (probably because I don't care either way), but I, too, have not watched a single minute, and it definitely does not bother me. I also have never watched Titanic.

Highest grossing films of all time I have not seen. They are all children's movies:

3. Avatar cash grab whatever
7. Avengers cash grab whatever
8. Spiderman cash grab whatever
10. Jurassic Park cash grab whatever
13. Fast and Furious cash grab whatever
14. Top Gun cash grab whatever
15. Frozen cash grab whatever
17. Avengers cash grab whatever
18. Super Mario Bros
20. Harry Potter cash grab whatever
21. Deadpool cash grab whatever
22. Star Wars cash grab whatever]
23. Jurassic Park cash grab whatever
25. Zootpia cash grab whatever
26. Beauty and Beast (2017)
27. Incredibles cash grab whatever
28. Fast and Furious cash grab whatever
29. Iron Man cash grab whatever
30. Minions

This isn't pride, I have probably missed out on a good one here and there. But based on ads and reviews:

He that hath a
beard is more than a youth, and he that hath no
beard is less than a man: and he that is more than
a youth is not for me, and he that is less than a
man, I am not for him

I don't know if I take great pride in it (probably because I don't care either way), but I, too, have not watched a single minute, and it definitely does not bother me. I also have never watched Titanic.
I have seen parts of Titanic and it's good for two scenes:

(1) Falling and getting clipped by the yard arm. Ouch!
(2) He could have fit on the door, you rich cunt.

Otherwise, just see Atlantic (1929). Stand during the Cornell Alma Mater.

Yes, but their combined weight would have sunk them.
No, her life jacket tied at the moment of mass would have kept them buoyant. I was born on an island,* goddammit, listen to me.

Just another example of the Wealthy slumming and then feeding the Poor into the maw to stay alive.

Which... the more I meet the Poor...

* BTW, Merrick sucks. Used to play them in football and I swear we never lost by less than 40. Also that girl is a Long Island 9. More of my home.
