He fixes the cable?
Agreed. Hell he might help Oscar take the lead. If Max is P2 Lando just needs to place 7th to take the chip.
Yup, Max would still be champ if they had dumped him before the year. And maybe Yuki would still be at Racing Bulls.Tough second half of the season for Oscar.
And for Horner- since it sure looks to him being dropped made a huge difference for RBR.
And now rumors have it Helmut Marko is about to get canned. He meets with the Red Bull board this week. Apparently, they are pissed over Marko's role in criticizing Antonelli last week which led to all the online abuse against Kimi. And for Horner- since it sure looks to him being dropped made a huge difference for RBR.
Remember, Newey joined the team when most of the design work, and even some of the building, of the new car had been completed. I expect Newey to be able to work his magic by improving the car over the course of 2026, making it a top notch contender by the end of the season. But I would be surprised if they are contenders out of the box.So now we have the Big Change, right? Is Newey going to make Aston Martin the constructor champion? Is the Window Licker going to finally get defenestrated?
How big are the changes? Is this a Before vs After level of rule changes that will be remembered in 2076? A "no more vroom vroom" level of change? Can't tell until they race?Remember, Newey joined the team when most of the design work, and even some of the building, of the new car had been completed. Completely new car regulations (no more ground effects). Completely new engine regulations (well, to be fair, the engine changes are more evolutionary). Not often both change in the same year. How big are the changes? Is this a Before vs After level of rule changes that will be remembered in 2076? A "no more vroom vroom" level of change? I wouldn’t say no ground effects, just closer to a previous version where it’s all post axle and less dependent on ride height and stiffness.Completely new car regulations (no more ground effects). Just the other day, I heard a podcast say, "Remember when the last rule set planned to have no DRS?" They don't believe it's truly going to go away. It's like a cockroach. You can't kill it.No more DRS, instead there will be a manual overtake mode (MOM) that basically replaces it. Instead of opening the wing it is a boost of power from the batteries, I believe.
Also, active front and rear aero. Z mode for down force in the bends, x mode to make them slipperier on the straights.

Exactly.The fuck does that mean?
Isn't a two-car team the whole idea?
Marko did criticize Hadjar's reaction to crashing out on the formation lap in Australia. Is that what you are referring to? (To be fair, later on in the season, Marko did praise the job Hadjar is doing.) Or, is there another incident where Marko pounced on Hadjar?Marko out. Hopefully Kimi doesn’t get even more nonsense directed his way. Rumor is he’s also made fun of Hadjar previously, which would have made the paddock pretty awkward next year.
