UMaine 25-26: Marques My Word: Back to the Big Time

Maine has a couple of NPI worthy opponents left in Lindenwood and Denver.

Right now only Northeastern makes the NCAA tourney from HE.....and Dartmouth & Lindenwood are in.

The conference as a whole needs to step up in the midseason nonconference window. As of now, Hockey East has a losing record against the Big10, NCHC, and the ECAC.
It is up to BC and Maine to right the ship against the NCHC. BC has Western Michigan out in Wisconsin and Maine plays at Denver for a pair. 5-7-1 as of now and those are the only 3 left. The B1G is a lost cause at 4-7-1 with only a BC-Wisconsin game still a possibility in that tournament. BC may be down as many as 4 stars playing in the World Juniors that week so for BC to win those two is a tall task. There are still more than a dozen games against the ECAC so they very well could change that 11-14-3 mark.

Going insane with this darkness at 4 pm crap. So I just watched 2012 HE semis against BU. That was a good team except the goaltending. Sully was a great guy and I think makes his living as a Musician(very talented ) but for Goalie U that was more like Goalie community college. Fun highlights to watch though

CHN has a nice little article on Poirier. There's also a brief throw in that Langois is doing well.
It goes to show that today the players are some of your best recruiters. No doubt his connection from Carolina training camp with Bradley and Josh helped him be comfortable with Maine.

Let’s hope the CHL rookies we have help recruit former teammates.

I’m happy to hear Langlois is doing well. Let’s hope he can play against UNH if he is over his concussion.

It still kind of blows my mind that Sullivan was the one to break Howard's shutout streak. Was a fun ride back in 2011 when it happened but now you see it and you're like that guy...

For my money, that team probably had to most pro players on it with the least collective NHL games played. Seems like just about everybody on that roster played in the ECHL, AHL, or Europe.

Ironically, the next season brought in 3 players that were still playing in the show last season (Shore, Hutton, Lomberg). I guess Shore has since moved to Czechia.

A donor at Providence is stepping up......a 100% match would create a $6 million fund to pay players if I am reading this correctly.....they have until Dec. 31 to make a donation.
