Dump Term 2 Part 3: "But I Say Unto You, Hate Thy Enemies." -- Revulsions 5:44

I don't know why we expect any different from the Times. From ginning up a war in Cuba to cheerleading a war in Iraq they've been a reliable ally of the rich and powerful. This is the publication that ran a puff piece about Hitler and his glorious vacation home just a week before he invaded Poland and set off the bloodiest conflict in human history.

Just went for a run while listening to Maron's last WTF podcast with Obama and it struck me how depressingly sad the state of things have felt since he left the White House and how much we could use him. Not the big 'P' Politician but the big 'L' Leader and big 'HB' Human Being. Instead we have a sociopath that's singularly hellbent and destroying everything that is good.

He also talked about something that made me realize this is we got here in the first place. He talked about his approach to problem solving debating internally the best course of action when they had multiple options. He said in some they that could implement change that might make things worse, they could make change that improved things to x degree, or they could choose to do nothing unless they had a perfect solution which of course never happens.

That last mentality is how Trump got elected. Voters that didn't trust Harris to handle Gaza the way they wanted stayed home and here we fucking are.

I think we are nore just dumbfounded they sat on it in the modern era. Breaking that story at that time probably gets them massive amounts of subs and a Pulitzer. They traded that for Maggie Haberman becoming a household name and 10 years of being hated by both sides as they bleed subs. Its bad business...

War is good for business. Hell war is why CNN is a known commodity.

On another note is anyone surprised Ken Starr is all over this? After his stint at Baylor you shouldn't be!

To be fair, that's a professional grifter's account. Of course she's still all-in on the grift, even if Dump were to rape her kids.

Not sure it was the Times, in this case. It was a single Times finance bro reporter who tried to extort Epstein.

It may have been pervasive at the Times, it would not surprise me. But we don't have that paper trail yet.
