Wisconsin Women's Hockey 2025-2026

Thanks for heads up - we have tix for tOSU in February but the seniors that I'm speaking of will be in the Olympics.

We have a ton of other stuff on the docket with men's hockey, men's hoops, volleyball, concerts, ice fishing, a Blackhawks game and some trips so we're tapped out at the moment on Women's hockey.

I will try for NCAA first round assuming we host but that used to be an easy ticket during the on sale but is much tougher these days. We'll see how it goes.

We watch all the games though, so I'm good.

Thanks again!

I have a friend (and sometimes his wife) who can't get a season ticket, so I get single game tickets for him. This morning I was able to get both St Cloud games, and the Sunday Bemidji game, but the Saturday Bemidi sold out before i could get there. I went for St Cloud first, thinking 'senior day' would be the first to sell out. My mistake, I guess.
Bloodbaths are more popular than people think.

Unfortunately - that's the only kind of defender that wins defender of the week - Otherwise Vivian would win it much much more - especially playing with KK.
It really is pathetic that the defender of the week is based on offense. Obviously being recognized as a truly great defender is only done by watching actually the game and not reading the scoring stats line or watching a team's posted highlights.

And there's the rub.

There should not be a defender of the week award.

I was very pleased with the faceoff win percentage last weekend. 56% game 1 and a stout 63% in game 2. Picard was 76% in game 2. Wow. Interestingly that was w/o Sappy obviously, she's at 56% for the season. That was one area of concern for me with OB being gone. No OB, no problem.

I haven't listened to/watched it yet - but Casey O'Brien was the guest on Jocks and Jills podcast recently:

Quebec won the Canadian u18 tournament and Badger recruit Rosalie Tremblay was the MVP of the tournament.
Interesting info on Ms. Tremblay....She wore the C. She has scored the 4th most points in the history of the Canadian U18, trailing only Poulin, Cournoyer and Rattray and tied for 2nd in most goals, only 1 behind Poulin. This info via The Hockey News. It will be good to get a top end Canadian F, it's been while since Clark and Nurse.

Early signing opens today. Indications are Lopsuanova, Beaudette, Cerruti, Kimbrel, Box, Tremblay and Swartout. HUGE shoes to fill, I shudder at the thought of who is done after this year (Harvey, Eden, Simms, Edwards, Picard, Jungels, Zilisch) . The dynasty might be dead after this season. You never know how these players will end up developing.

Everything will be fine.
The remaining players will thrive with the departures… most of them are dominant already and at the top of their own particular classes across the country.
There will be portal departures and additions as well… always that shock factor but Wisconsin will remain a legitimate contender year in and year out.

Totally off-topic, but Wisconsin-y: have you ever tried baked cheese? I'm looking at a Wisconsin website (Cheese Brothers) that sells baked cheese, and a ton of other cheeses, and it sure has me curious.

Never have had baked cheese before. Breaded and fried cheese yes of course. Cheese curds are all the rage in this neck of the woods.

Aren't there some Mexican cheeses that get baked?

Agape Ranch will be done in a month. MJ said in an interview with the Wisconsin State journal that he will keep coaching as long as he's enjoying everything and his family is healthy enough to allow him the time to coach.
