I dont think it is a stroke...he would never survive that IMHO.

As I said last night, the way he talks and is easily convinced of blatantly stupid stuff (like AI videos of Portland) reminds me of my Grandma as she declined in dementia. He also walks like she did and stares off into nothingness when not talking.

I do...his buddies are the ones who own everything. That is why he is on the ticket. Tech Bros and Venture Capitalists are in charge of most things these days especially the media.

The catch will be trying to get people to treat him like they do with Dump. The media can try but it'll mean nothing if people won't buy it.

The ads should already be at the ready...and until next November they should be airing them on every network all day every day. The GOP is being pretty blatant and the "Democrat Shutdown" is failing on a massive scale as a narrative.

I read a comment on Bluesky that summed it up pretty well...

(paraphrased)

"The Democrats are trying their hardest to stop the GOP from shooting themselves in the foot and the GOP is shooting themselves in the dick just to show up the Democrats".

We used to always joke that if Obama openly applauded GOP positions they would abandon them out of spite...it is now proving true.

I cant speak to what the people will do (I think he will be "fine" but someone like MTG will smoke him in '28) but the media will suckle at his teet because they have to unless Peter Thiel walks away from him.

Again, that means very little without the charisma to take advantage of it like Dump has. The media has tried to force people down our throats that the population has rejected before.

But in this scenario he already is the man because Trump is dead or incapacitated. (meaning Vance becomes LBJ) It doesnt matter what the populace says he will be in charge and Congress will stay in line until the GOP no longer controls it because they will be paid to and sympathy will push it. (we must do this in Trump's name!)

It doesn't matter what happens...we are stuck in this hell until 2028. Sure there may be more pushback...but not enough to fix anything before that.

Note: I dont think either of these people (Trump or Vance) matter right now as much as we think they do. They basically have Trump doing the VP rounds and Vance is off doing podcasts and some Sunday Shows and laying low. Right now the inmates are running the asylum and telling The Orange Fool just enough to make speeches or give rambling answers to the Press since there is zero pushback. I am not sure how the power is divided (Miller likely handling "Immigration" and Vought handling the Economy but beyond that no idea since no way Marco is making foreign policy decisions) but the fascists wont let an idiot and weakling ruin their plans. They created Project 2025 to put the infrastructure in place to bypass them if needed.

A POTUS Sexy Couch could never carry the GOOPers’ through the web of fallacies Cheeto Benito does because SC would take ample to think before trying to blatantly lie. CB doesn’t need time to think of this lies because he doesn’t know which of his trained-seal responses he’s going to blurt until it’s all said and done. Even the slightest period of thought turns off the MAGA base, so future elections would see lower GOP voter turnout.

Now to steal the phrase from another, we just need the DNC to not shoot themselves in their dicks. Again.

The problem is that it’s likely that not everyone is going to fall in line. It’s easy to let people starve and get sick when you’ve got the Dumpy shield in front of you to deflect any blame, it’s completely different when the shield is gone and you have to face the consequences yourself.

Also, Vance isn’t as savvy as Dump is. Vance is likely to not buckle under and make a “deal” to save face, he’s far more likely to just plow ahead stupidly, fuck things up and then be stuck holding the bag when everything goes to shit.
