Dump Term 2 Part 3: "But I Say Unto You, Hate Thy Enemies." -- Revulsions 5:44

Holy. Shit.
Our company plan was going to go up 24% for 2026, they were able to knock it down to 17% by eliminating GLP-1 coverage for weight loss, among other things (but that was the big one).

We have insurance through my wife's employment, she has not heard yet what the increase will be.

I love how the White House is getting torn apart for the ballroom. Just another lie was told.

Rip the whole fucking thing down, Mr. Trump. You know you want to. Build a Gold Palace.
I wasn't too invested in this until I saw the demolition photos. Then I started looking back. It's been the plan to knock down the East Wing the entire time. Renderings from the day he announced it show the massive facility sitting in the footprint of the East Wing, with only the connection between it and the White House remaining.

As someone involved in the trades (civil, not vertical, but similar), I have many questions about this endeavor. Because it certainly feels like we went from announcement to groundbreaking in a goddamned hurry.

The other thing gnawing at me is that any blue wave (26 28, hopefully for a goddamned half century minimum), isn't going to "correct" this. Sure the next Dem president will likely remove the concrete patio and restore the Rose Garden. But this... this... fuckin' thing ain't going to be removed. It's now a legacy item until Canada decides to come a knockin' again.

We just had benefit meetings with my company. I cant remember what % it increased by, but it did go up. We were told that 3 employees have super specific medications that total over $1 million a year alone. And that was a big driving factor in our increase but they were able to negotiate it down some by increasing max out of pocket and deductible of course. Not terrible of course but not great.

Now everyone is just wondering what medications/medical issues are costing that much.

Many meds have a pricetag in that range. Seems like pharma will not release a new med under 250k at this point which is absolutely ridiculous.

Our open enrollment started last week and our plans only went up 10%. But, being UMR, they now added a new "tier" program to the in-network plans for all three plans offered.

Preferred Tier 1 = These docs promise to not charge UMR a lot.
Tier 2 = We're gonna make your co-pays double for these docs.
Out of network = The same "hand over your wallet" its always been.

Sooo, if Toronto wins the World Series - America's game - will Trump state that it's invalid or something? A Canadian team winning America's pastime is the only reason I want them to win,

I work in pharmacy benefits for a program. Just about any cancer treatment is going to run those costs up. Muscular dystrophy is another one that can run it up fast. And now with the advancements in genetic therapy, it may only take one treatment, but $1 to $2 million is not out of the question. VERY strict prior auth requirements on those.

Canada’s team paling around with Dump? They probably wouldn’t let the players back into the country.

Edit: Go Dodgers. Let the world burn.

(And a Dodgers win will practically guarantee the work stoppage in 2027)

HW invited them after their ‘92 title, Clinton did not after their ‘93 one. Labor dispute could have had something to do with that, unclear.

I havent watched a baseball game in 2+ years...the salaries are out of control and the nerds ruined it anyways.

Because I am guessing most of the players aren't Canadian...
Honestly, I'm surprised that on the active rosters there are only four non-US born Latin American players on each team. (TOR would win 5-to-4 if you count Canadian born Guerrero Jr)

The Mariners actually had more Canadians on their roster than Toronto (Matt Brash and Josh Naylor).
