MLB 2025: The Dodgers vs The Field

Current MLB playoff bracket has Cleveland and Detroit facing off. If that were to somehow stand they'd be playing up to 9 games in 18 days against each other.

Not that it matters since they weren't catching Milwaukee anyway, but Matt Shaw took bereavement leave from the Cubs, in the middle of the stretch run, to go to the circus in Arizona on Sunday.

Bet that's going over well with his Hispanic teammates...

Two challenge system is coming next season to MLB. My first thought was why wouldn't the bots be used exclusively, but then I thought about some games just becoming walk-fests when a team doesn't have a staff that can get through an inning in garbage time.

So the Yankees are now just one game out of first place, which means just one game out of having home field the entire way.

Oh, and the Mets could still complete their $340 million collapse ... sorry, Kep, couldn't resist. :ROFLMAO:

If he hits 63* the Yankees will not have the AL record for the first time since 1919.

* And he will hold the all-time MLB non-cheating record.
Kind of hoping the Dodgers win tonight to clinch their division so they can spend the weekend pitching meatballs to Raleigh.

It looks like 2/3 will get them in. One behind Boston and they play head to head so they have to win at least two to tie them. One ahead of Houston, but they hold the tiebreaker against both Boston and Houston, so regardless of what Cleveland does they can get a wild card.
