What are the NCAA Div III rules for when and what and who teams are allowed to do as school starts late summer? "Dry" training, on-ice, with captains and with coaches?

Wow, SOMEONE must know this?! I asked the same question last year and got no response then too. Is it all in the rulebook?

They're allowed official off-ice training first Monday in October and official practice second Monday.

There can be unofficial activities led by players for playees and coaches are not supposed to be there.

I ran into "someone who should know" yesterday and if I understood correctly they said that traditionally coaches don't get the teams until early October, but the captains can work with the team on and off the ice at any point. However more recently coaches are allowed 8 practices (2 per week) in September.

This is how I understand it to work as well now.
