Dump Term 2, Part 2: "A third term would be a big shattering."

Having a million people more than normal die in a year had nothing to do with it.
I mean….covid isn’t one of the main reasons our Life expectency has been down. It was sinking Long before COVID

I’m sure Most of you know this but id Name many others first:

No time off, no support for Familien or working parents
Heslthcare tied to employment
Horrific income inequality
Fucked up Health System
Shitty, Processed food all over
Crippling debt
Rural Hospital shortage/funding
And just Overall catering Society to straight white men

You just aren't talking to your neighbors enough.

Well, a couple from our area for Rocks and Cows are being investigated by the Secret Service after they displayed 86 47 on an Interstate bridge in Fargo. While this couple has a pretty long history of run ins with the law, this still should be a non-issue.

I need to transfer some money from the EU to the US in the near future, so the inevitable crash of the dollar might as well happen sooner than later

I still can't wrap my head around how this is "good" for Big Business (as a whole). I would think that daily chaos from Cheeto von Fukstik and Co. would shake the markets and make them unstable as hell.

And then there is also the obvious crunch being put on the lower 2/3 of the income bracket, which is where many big companies make their bread & butter (basically most of your day to day consumer goods).

How have at least some of the CEO class not gotten personally hurt by this chaos?

Speaking of price fixing, some dude named Cameron Smith argues that MAGA and "owning the libs" have reached the point of absurdity and are actually now anti-conservative...but only because us nasty liberals made them do it simply by asking them not to be complete assholes, of course.

If triggering the opposition is the cardinal metric of success, then, mission accomplished. #Winning

I understand the visceral appeal. Through media, business and government, progressives have repeatedly shown a willingness to hammer Americans into believing, thinking and feeling as they do. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve explained federalism to my progressive friends only to be told that everyone in America deserves a one-size-fits-all policy from Washington.

They certainly don’t seem to like that answer now.

Yes, government as a populist cudgel occasionally feels good for Republicans. We’re simultaneously contorting ourselves to justify policies that would make Ronald Reagan or Milton Friedman spin in their graves.

Because even if they lose a lot, they’re still fabulously wealthy and can get loans and have cash to gobble things up at extreme bargain rates.

Today my uncle told me that he’s relieved he’s no longer going on cnbc and Fox Business because he’s Not sure how Else to explain to people why all their goods can’t be made here - because not enough can understand (he’s recently retired and changed all his manifactueing during the First dump term out of China and into Vietnam)

If Apple ends up making their shit here, no one will be able to afford it, that might be the only way to get them(trump voters) off the Trump bandwagon. Take their play toy away and watch what happens.

There's zero chance Apple moves production to the US.

Also love how someone had to point out to yam tits that his Apple-Only tariff would be a benefit to Samsung and Motorola (25% Apple vs 10% everyone else) and had to later state that every cellphone manufacturer was going to be charged the 25%.

I wonder if Dump and Family have stock in Purism Phones. Their Librem 5 is made in the USA... https://puri.sm/products/librem-5-usa/
