TV 20 - Sorry no fancy title

I watched Last of Us S2 E1 and it was dogshit. But at least it was already garbage the end of S1, so I didn't feel betrayed.

It goes to show that when these people make real art it's an accident. They don't know what they're doing. Sometimes, briefly, they get lucky.

They weren't making real art, they were adapting a video game to the screen. The TV show follows the video game story. That was always the plan.
This.

It’s especially true when the co-creator, co-writer, and showrunner is the one who created, wrote and developed the games on which the show is based on.

Irrelevant. The plot isn't the point. At all.

The first 2/3 of S1 was also adapting a video game. But it was well written and the character interactions were more than believable, they were fascinating.

Plot means almost nothing. Some of the greatest dramas ever written nothing really happens. Artistry is what you do with little details. They did them well... until they didn't. The original material doesn't dictate or limit that.

Completely forgot that ep. 7 of TLOU, and therefore the beginning of the "garbage" third, is "Left Behind", which is an adaptation of The Last of Us: Left Behind expansion. An expansion that was critically acclaimed but hated by GamerGate chuds.

Also hated by GamerGate chuds? The Last of Us: Part 2, of which is the basis for the TV show's Season 2. Did Kep just expose his true self? :ROFLMAO:

(I kid Kep)

the second and final season of Andor arrives in four 3-episode installments beginning with the first 3 tonight.

Season one took place 5 years prior to “A New Hope”

These arcs will be 4, 3, 2 then 1 year prior and ends right at the doorstep of Rogue One.
Everything I’ve seen and read indicates this is the best Star Wars since Empire Strikes Back and rivals that movie.

Kepler, don’t know if you’re a fan of Star Wars but this one is incredibly apropos to current events and based on early reviews I think you may wanna give it a chance.

The fact that so many MAGAts see Star Wars - and the new season of Andor in particular - as an attack on them is awfully telling. The Empire has always represented Fascism. The parallels are not meant to be subtle.

That meeting about Ghorman we saw last night was essentially a condensed version of the Wannsee Conference. (If you haven't already, go watch Conspiracy on HBO.)
