Already insane, UAA making it worse
I mean they've implemented some measures like social distancing, making cleaning supplies available, wearing masks etc. but realistically there's only so much they can do. I mean it's packing boxes into small containers to be put onto cramped aircraft. That's quite true. How receptive is your employer WRT adding safety measures? Not that I have any ideas for your, but I'm sure you are seeing some good and bad applications as you work.
I am frustrated with the lack of information given though. I understand HIPAA concerns and all but not even giving information on what work area the employee was in was frustrating. I eventually got some info of where the employee worked and found out it was possible I had contact with them. Going to figure out if I need to go get tested or not.
Sucks I had to drop out of reffing a soccer game tomorrow (a match in our local UPSL conference who has done a great job implementing safety measures), doubly so for the assignor who had >24 hours to find a replacement (not easy for a league 90% of our referees can't officiate in), but I'm not gonna be the reason the season was cancelled.
