This is his release point for all his pitches last night:

And let me guess: His arm angle or turn or step doesn't change based on pitch either.

So the guy has no "tell".

Nice for him; ugly for the guy in the batter's box.

Late edit: Where was this tech when Kent Tekulve or Dan Quisenberry were pitching? That would've been awesome.

Release point: 4 inches off ground

This rollout was apparently so bad it is now impossible to find any of them. They must already be on their way to Central Africa.
Yep, NewEra caught so much hell for them that they yanked the product from the website.

Look at the twitter link I posted on the previous page. SHows his delivery of the 4-seam vs. curveball.

Braves star Ozuna (?) arrested for assault today.

he gone

"Felony aggravated assault strangulation."

That's gonna leave a mark.

The arrest affidavit said Ozuna's wife, Genesis Guzman, was showering when he took her cellphones and refused to give them back, per Seiden.

"He threatened to kill her and she threatened to call 911," the affidavit read. "She took his cellphone from a table and called 911."

After chasing Ozuna outside of their home, Guzman walked back inside while on the phone with the 911 operator. Per the affidavit, while on the call, she said Ozuna was coming back inside and that she was grabbing a kitchen knife for protection.

"He continued to yell and verbally abuse her," the affidavit said. "Therefore, [Guzman] held the knife by her hip and warned [Ozuna] that if he got closer, she was going to hurt him."

Per the affidavit, Guzman subsequently dropped the knife and physically attempted to retrieve her phones before the two-time All-Star allegedly punched her in the back of her hands and using his left arm—which is in a plaster cast—to push her in the face. Ozuna then allegedly placed his hand around her throat and "held her up against the wall, preventing her from breathing."

I’ve never figured out why NCAA softball, which is a faster game already, has a mercy rule, but NCAA baseball doesn’t.

Even in the WCWS, there’s still 8 after five.

Right now in the baseball tournament, Maryland is up on Norfolk 15-0 in the 6th, Southern Miss is up 20-0 in the 7th on SE Missouri, and South Alabama is up 19-1 on Florida in the 7th, but all of them will be going nine innings. The last two games are stuck in weather delays.

There used to be a mercy rule during the regular season. Not sure if it's still around or not.

deGrom reaches 100Ks in 61.2 innings. The quickest to reach that mark since the mound was moved back in 1893.

He left the game with flexor tendinitis. I have been holding my breath for 13 hours.

Jake has driven in 5 runs this season.

He has given up 4.

Those numbers prove this a 29th century borg pitcher has decided to fuck with with us.

Luis Rojas announced deGrom's MRI was negative. He plans to make his next start.

His ERA is 0.56

RIP Jim Mudcant Grant. 3 starts in the '65 World Series and went 2-1, and hit .250 with a HR and 3 RBI.

I doubt many fans my age are aware that had the Twins won Game 7 of that series they would have 3 titles in which the home team won every game of the series.

What a year and team that was, especially for a person in the prime of his boyhood fandom. Out on the prairie, we listened to or watched every game: Mudcat, Zoilo, Harm, Tony O., Ceasar, Earl B., Jim K., Bob Allison . . .

So, Kep, when will deGrom be back on the mound? Maybe we should have a little wager on who wins the Mets/Cubs series this week, with the loser buying a beer (or cappuccino--or just bragging rights) at the Cornell/UND game in GF, which I'll try to make.

He's supposed to make his next start.

If I were betting on this series I would say split. Tonight's game is the Cubs' to win -- Peterson has been very bad lately -- the deGrom and Stro starts should have us favored, the Walker start... we'll see.

Little by little we are getting guys back. McNeil may be back this series. Lindor is really hot now which totally changes the dynamics of the lineup -- when the Cubs destroyed us at Wrigley he was hitting about .150, since then he's hitting about .350.

This is how I do bets: loser buys odd-numbered drinks, winner buys even-numbered drinks.
