The States: Where We Wish Texas Would Secede Already

The f-ck is a "yeeter"?

To yeet is to GTFO, disappear, end, leave, die (gaming) etc. typically in an abrupt manner.

But why is this question in the states thread?
EDIT: ah I see

I imagine this will hit a lot of states. Minnesota’s gas providers say everyone will be hit with additional 300-400 for February gas charges for the surge in pricing during our subzero freeze and Texas storms. Only one small gas company in faribault says no extra charges- xcel, centerpoint say 300-400 extra coming in September

Wait what?

Great. Just ****ing great.

I don't think it's going to be as terrible as it sounds.

First, the four biggest providers said this:

Xcel -- $250-300
Centerpoint -- $300-400
MERC -- $250-300
Great Plains Gas -- $200-300

So, $400 grabs the headlines, but that's misleading.

Second, the way gas pricing works is that in September they "true up" the actual costs of gas compared with what they charged. Any over or under charges are then spread out over the next 12 months. Thus, the cost to you would likely be $20-25/month over the course of a year, starting in September. That assumes that there aren't other factors between now and September that affect the price either up or down.

Furthermore, the PUC is looking at spreading that "true up" over a longer period to help out consumers.

The AG must be a piece of work, because even the Governor and the Republican controlled House in SD are after him. They demanded he step down, and when he didn't they started impeachment proceedings.

Guess he was late with the protection money once too often.

Texas.

18-wheeler loses control.

Careens onto railroad crossing.

110-car train passes exactly at that moment.

First 11 cars of the train are filled with gasoline, coal, and petroleum chemicals.
