Mannix: "I don't think Ive seen a Maine crowd this upset at the officials all season."

How bizarre that its this game against this opponent when that's the case...

NB line struggled big time tonight. Felt like they got back on track last night but seemed like they lacked focus in the defensive zone.

At times it felt like they were playing decent hockey but then the play would head the other way or they would get pinned in. 3rd NE goal was the real back breaker, Sully had a great chance from the slot but made one extra move and the NE guy is all alone on a breakaway.

On to Vermont, hate to be critical but this team needs to figure it out quickly. I thought maybe a couple losses would be good for them to regain their focus but this seems bigger than some bad luck. They’ve been really sloppy in the defensive zone and when they don’t get a couple big saves from their goalie, they’re playing from behind.

How about Josh getting slashed at behind the play. TV commentators were all over it. Missed by officials who got the same NU guy later, so maybe make up call? Either way Maine didn’t have it tonight. Refs were horrible, that Scott interference needs to be better with all eyes on that play. But Maine 0-5 PP is prime example where special teams hasn’t been good enough all year and this slump has exacerbated all their weakness….including culture. I hope the Nadeau’s are back next year, but Bradley is coasting a lot. Hard to unsee it once you notice it.

They moved the band out of the balcony so that created a lot more student seating availability.....the student demand just isn't there for those extra seats.....but it sure is for people trying to purchase seats. Seems like a no brainer move to me.

Not true on why they moved the Band from the Balcony last year.

24 hours...enthusiasm to skepticism....VT. series won't be easy...and the UMass weekend could be crucial in being 4th and hosting or 5th and on the road after a bye....next two weeks will be a roller coaster ride ..fasten the seat belts...!

Holton & Murphy made me long for Roulliard or god forbid even Benedetto.

My gosh is NU coach and players a bunch of cry babies. All game constantly working the refs and they were winning totally embarrassing.

One play comes to mind Breen behind NU net, basically tackled and held, looks around like WTF ..the check that was not a major was still a dangerous check as the one on B Nadeu at the end of the game..similar to the 5 minute major we got at UNH..no consistency in this league.

Mario Lemieux looked like he was coasting a lot, too.

Yup….saves me gas and hotel in Burlington next week. And I ‘m pretty close to selling my UMass tickets.

Maine drops to 9th in pairwise. NU gave Maine no time and space. Completely dominated them as the score accurately shows. Maine needs to get bigger down the road , but still keep the speed. NU has two players from Maine. Williams from Biddeford had an assist on the first goal and the other player is Moore from Cumberland. NU is definitely peaking at the right time.
