The NU broadcasters' call of Hutson's GWG was understandably low key. BU provided a clip of Bernie & Mark's call, which I've posted on the blog. This platform doesn't allow M4a files.
It would seem that Lane is a lock to make the Jr. National Team for the WJCs.
For away games I’ve taken to listening to Bernie & Mark on my phone with the tv audio muted. Like I used to do when the legendary Johnny Most called the Celtics games.
I do the same. And for the Pats, sync the radio feed with the TV.
Nice win! Domination in the 3rd. Actually I thought they dominated for long stretches throughout.
Was one Hutson maybe the dman Lane considered the much more accomplished of the brothers? They both look very good.
I know that it may seem that way, but BU had the same average (0.875) as the overall average (0.874) for all teams from 2018-current when leading after 2 periods, with a 42-3-7 record under Coach O'Connell. However, in 5 of the wins the opponent did tie the game up in the 3rd before BU eventually won (11.9% of all wins). Overall teams leading after 2 were tied up 9.3% of the time and lost the lead 0.7% of the time before eventually winning, so BU under Coach O'Connell was slightly worse.Big difference with this year's level of compete in comparison to BU in the last few years. 3rd period fade and loss of a lead was common.
perhas. perhaps. not.I didn't watch any of the game so I can't really give insight into the product. That said, this U18 team has beaten almost all the NCAA teams it has faced (I think they won their first 8 or 11 or something like that), and despite the pain it causes to say so given all the BC recruits, has to be considered one of the top U18 teams in a long time. It sounds like some shaky goaltending got is into a hole that we just couldn't get all the way out of, despite a strong push.
If any of the issues bleed into the UNH series then perhas that will be a cause for concern, but otherwise, I am not going to dwell.
