Gotta love it when IT sends out an email with a link to the new online security training modules, and because it looks exactly like the types of phishing emails they are trying to warn us about they then have to send out a second email verifying the first was legit because the entire office reported it.

It was five lines of text addressed to me by my (extremely generic) first name only with a link to an external site and no logos or signature and a generic helpdesk reply address.

Like seriously guys, do you not take your own farking training?

It's a test.

It's a test.

Nope, it's a real thing. Just spent 2 hours doing it after they confirmed it was real.

This is why engineers need liberal arts majors in their office to hold their hands whenever they interact with actual people.

They need a business process consultant to explain to them why configuring the LMS system-generated email notification to look exactly like a phishing test is a bad idea. This is the story of my career.

I've never heard him but this is not a surprise given what I have heard about him.

Welp you know me: generations aren't real, age is just a number, everybody's the same, yadda yadda.

But I'll hand it to Zoomers: this is a new horror and you own it. Pat yourselves on your debt-laden, climate change-charred backs.
