Just remember that these are the same people that think "Born in the USA" is along the same lines of "'Merica! **** YEA!"...

"I was... boooooooorn the USA! I was.... booooooorn in the USA! ....Boooorn in the USA! *humming* *humming* USA!

I can't remember what it was, but there was something on TV this past year, I believe conservative in nature, where they had kids singing the chorus and then humming the verses which was just so ridiculous.

I'm going to say something breathtakingly stupid. (WHich isn't out of the norm, I just recognize it this time.)

I never liked Springsteen until I actually listened to the lyrics of his old stuff.

My favorite was the music guy at the winter Olympics in Korea playing this after the US won the gold in women's hockey. Because playing a song about being sent to a foreign land to go and kill the yellow man in Korea is full born 'Murica.

I want to believe that was brilliant subversion.

Stephen Richer, the Republican recorder of Arizona's Maricopa County, says election officials in the state are caught between a rock and a hard place.

Arizona offers no-excuse mail voting and in-person voting on Election Day, and has lenient rules for hand-delivering early ballots to the polls. "You have a very voter-friendly system that accommodates dropping off your early ballot on Election Day up until 7 p.m.," Richer said in December.

"But simultaneously," he added, "you have a whole host of people who want to be able to call the results of a close election within the first 24 hours."

Yeah, do you want it done correctly or want it done fast?!

They want it done however favors their candidate, and they will do whatever it takes to have it turn out that way. Intimidate voters? Yep. Shoot opponents? Sure. Kidnap and murder a governor? Absolutely. Hang the vice president? You betcha! Lead a terrorist insurrection against the government? No problem.

It would be amusing how matter-of-factly people are taking this if it wasn't terrifying. It's as if no one ever heard of the Beer Hall Putsch...or as the brownshirts called it: practice.

Pathological liars like Santos and Dump are fascinating. The kind of people who lie for no reason or, as Dick Cheney once said about somebody (I forget who), "just to keep in practice."
