I have not seen a confirmation on identity yet, but whether it was Cruz' child or not, hopefully they will be okay and are getting support and acceptance from their family. Cruz has two kids, 11 and 14.

I get so confused about Republican Talking points. What is the play here? Again, there are numerous vaccines the military requires that I as a civilian do not necessarily have to get. Covid is safe and as a civilian I want it. So, what's the problem here? Was forcing them to get the Covid Vaccine an illegal order? I don't see how.

This one is as confusing as the Laptop story.

Most of the military in the thread agree with me but you have I assume military folks saying things like this?

I missed your post here but I did just come across this. No 14 year old girl should have to go through whatever she is going through. Here's hoping she gets the help she needs.

Here's another one. Do they honestly believe there was some grand secret cabal that needed me to have my China uplink installed via a syringe? I do not understand the endgame here. All they are doing is destroying their own credibility along with the credibility of the entire government and their agencies.

Not with their derps, and that is all that matters to them -- to stay on the gravy train. If any of them had an ounce of honor they would admit they are playing to the boobs to establish a parallel world with its own touchstone of truth - revelation from their authorities which trumps reason and science. They are attempting to reverse the Enlightenment.

But if they had an ounce of honor, they would not be Republicans.
 
From what I heard, one of McCarthy:s first priority when( if) he becomes Speaker is to eliminate the vaccine requirements for the military.

I guess they want to see our military engaged in conflict in some foreign backwater, while being less than 50% combat effective because they're being run through with smallpox or diphtheria or something.

I just do not understand why everyone is hung up on "this" particular vaccine. It appears to be because it was the first FDA approved mRNA vaccine but that tech has been studied since the 60's. It was time.

There are a million reasons they've taken this absurd stand. Take your pick:
  • A pandemic was very inconvenient for Trump in an election year
  • Wahhhh I want to go to the gym you can't tell me what to do waahhhhhh
  • I don't understand science and I'm not about to learn
  • Trump said it wasn't a big deal (on the news, after saying it was a big deal in private)
  • Something something something china
  • Hunter Biden's laptop!

Yeah, you're right. I know you're right. I am just searching the world over for ONE. ONE legitimate, valid, argument for this. They literally are going to get their way on the military. Maybe I shouldn't care but that will be a documented record that will be thrown in everyone's face for decades to come.
