Reporting from Washington —
Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas failed to report his wife’s income from a conservative think tank on financial disclosure forms for at least five years, the watchdog group Common Cause said Friday.

Between 2003 and 2007, Virginia Thomas, a longtime conservative activist, earned $686,589 from the Heritage Foundation, according to a Common Cause review of the foundation’s IRS records. Thomas failed to note the income in his Supreme Court financial disclosure forms for those years, instead checking a box labeled “none” where “spousal noninvestment income” would be disclosed.

Lara Trump took her young son outside to play in the hurricane. Filmed it. Bragged about it. The kid looked like he's crying. What a horrible mother.

Floridians have hurricane parties so she may well be a lousy mom but they are used to this stuff. My wifes niece is in Cocoa beach and is drinking up a storm. I don't understand it but I'm in Maine

It's one thing to throw a party, it is another to have your kid play outside in a hurricane. Not even close to equivalent.

I don't know, I kind of see her point. Sometimes we have to do what we don't want, whether it's playing outside in hurricane-force rain and winds, or lay there and take it while some buck-toothed halfwitted billionaire's son pumps you full of his tard seed.

I just got our kids to bed and am sitting outside enjoying a nice beaujolais on my pool deck while listening to the palm trees sway in a 25 kt breeze. We’re prepped, the storm is reasonably predictable, and I don’t want a third kid, so what else is there to do?

I thought this was well done. In true modern GQP fashion, they did something stupid they thought would lead to a specific result. It didn't, of course, for reasons that should have been obvious from the start. So instead of shutting up or, god forbid, learning from it, they just lie about it.
