I'm not sure how insane SC women are. In PA and AZ and NC and TX Dems should be trumpeting Roe -- when those nice suburban white women get in the booth they aren't gonna cut their own throats on reproductive rights the way their moron fathers and husbands do on jobs. They'll lie to their men, but they'll vote for self-preservation against Gilead. But in Dumbf-ckistan stoking Roe probably hurts more than it helps because the short bus cross fondlers' brains are permanently switched off.

How about WI? I don't think of it as Christian so much as rural. I think of Wisconsinites hating rich coasties and maybe blacks, but I don't think of them as prayer meetin' dopes.
Look up Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod, and then come to the appreciation that there are splinter synods of appreciable size that consider WELS to be too liberal.

I don't doubt there are pockets of impressively stupid people in WI. Those exist everywhere: no doubt CA has the most fundies of any state. I meant is WI as deep in the Death Cult toilet as say AL or KS?

It’s my experience that when you go west of Madison, the answer is a resounding yes, with exception to small pockets around the few universities I’ve visited in the state.

There are pockets of "not terminally stupid".

Clinton lost by 30 points in over half the state's precincts.

But that's a map of politically stupid people. I need a map of religiously stupid people.

This may come close: red and pink are stupid, orange is weird, purple is neurotic.

The lack of accounting for Eastern Orthodox on that map makes it suspect.

Alaska has a huge Russian Orthodox population, not Roman Catholic.

Mnuchin wanted to come to the Hill to talk to Nancy Friday for stimulus talks. She said no because she can't be sure what farkers at the White House is testing positive right now.

There's no Jews, either. I don't understand your point. But here is a map showing Alaska as perverted:

What's with that little triangle of morons in eastern Alaska near Eagle? Does that extend into Yukon?

Oooh I bet concern boy will wander in from the other threads and express his concern over that.

538 just added a House tab to predictions. Opening line: 93% to hold House. The mean prediction is a pick up of 4 seats (236-199) with a symmetrical Poisson-ish drop off. I think we're looking at a 10-seat pick up unless a late break starts the dominoes falling. The one sigma goes up to a 21 seat pickup. That would be a 71 seat majority (253-182).

Biden around 400 EV
Senate* 53-47
House* 253-182

That would be a formidable first two years, after the Court pack makes SCOTUS say 9-6.

Still not representative of a country split 2:1, but getting there.

* Before the admission of PR and DC. It occurs to me we do not need to get rid of the Electoral College. Just triple or more the size of the House and wash out the Senate's weight in the EC. The US has 535 legislators. The UK has 1,443 for a country one-fifth the size.

I fully respect your powers of ESP.

Fun fact: the Founders wanted a limit of 30k constituents per House member. If that were still the case the House would have 10,940 Members.
Amazing. Cabrini Green in Chicago would have had half a representative itself.

I can't see him doing it either...seems too radical for the guy running on the "well at least I am not THAT crazy" platform ;-)

Plus I dont see Biden wasting 2 years of full control (if the Senate flips) on something like that. There is a lot that needs fixing and you just never know how long you will have the window.
