Lake is garbage, but don't be too excited, the woman who beat her "refused to answer" whether the election was valid. Profiles in courage.

IINM election deniers swept the AZ GOP primaries except for that one tepid exception.

So we're gonna find out if the sane people are the majority.

They aren't all as dumb as people think. There are plenty of otherwise intelligent people who voted for him (doctors, engineers, high-skill trades). A lot of them know he's a loose cannon, but they just don't care - he's a useful idiot who helps them achieve their end goals. For some that goal is an Xtian theocracy (abortion, Muslim immigration ban, public $$$ for religious schools). For others, it's opposition to universal healthcare (can't bill absurd amounts to private insurance when everyone is on Medicare). For still others, it's just tearing apart the federal machine and owning the libs. They broadly define "libs" as not only the actual left, but anyone who supports the corporate center-right establishment and our federal institutions that they think are soaking up unnecessary tax dollars (all the alphabet agencies, bureaus, and departments).

This is amazing:

Revealing how the plaintiffs’ team came to be in possession of unredacted texts from Jones’ phone, Mr Bankston reveals that Jones’ own legal team accidentally gave them without marking any of them as privileged.

Jones had previously said that he had searched his phone for references to Sandy Hook and found none.

He is asked if he knows what perjury is.

Jones appears increasingly flustered by the amount of evidence being introduced that directly counters what he has said in earlier testimony.

He is reminded of claims he made that Sandy Hook was not a functioning school in 2017. He admits he thinks he remembers that.

In text messages from Jones’ phone, a false news report about Covid is discussed and said to look ridiculous: “Sandy Hook all over again.”

Circling back to Sandy Hook, Mr Bankston brings up a December 2015 email that reads: “This Sandy Hook stuff is killing us.”

This counters earlier testimony that Jones says he stopped the coverage in July that year,

Jones is asked if there was a mass tragedy in America in the last 15 years that he has not called a false flag operation.

He responds: “No”.

Another of Jones’ outlandish claims is now being introduced — that the Boston bombing was faked and those injured were crisis actors.

Mr Bankston also mentions the shooting of Gabby Giffords, Parkland, Las Vegas, and other incidents that he has claimed were false flag operations staged with crisis actors to start a civil war.

The video is played to the court and questioning moves on as Jones claims that the clip is out of context.

He maintains he is taking the trial seriously — “as serious as cancer”.

Mr Bankston continues: “You say that you’re taking this trial seriously. You’re telling the world that someone rigged the court and picked these jurors, ‘who don’t know what planet they’re on.’”

The next video is of Jones dismissing the jury as “extremely blue collar folks” who don’t know who he is “in blue city bubbles, people do not know what planet they are on”.

The jury is brought back in and a video from InfoWars from Friday 29 July is played in which he uses the exact phrasing the plaintiff’s lawyer used in his question to Jones.

Jones is asked about why his show is depicting an image of the judge on fire. He argues that it is Lady Justice.

Mr Bankston moves to introduce into evidence an image from InfoWars of Lady Justice on fire, with Judge Gamble’s face behind it. The judge asks to see it, then chuckles. It is admitted into evidence.

He then asks if Jones has connected the judge to child traffickers and paedophilia and moves to introduce another clip for impeachment purposes.

He lies and says no and now they are playing a tape of him doing just that.

I know he won't rot in jail forever like he should but at the very least I hope they bankrupt him for life. Even more than Dump he is a perfect personal incarnation of the Republican party and American conservatism.

Lake is going to win. Hobbs is going to beat her in the general though.
 
The best part of the Alex Jones debacle is:

1) His ex wife is tweeting about it (she blew the whistle on Infowars)

2) The 1/6 Commission is likely to subpoena the information

Alex is going to go through some stuff! Poor Flaggy!

Rex keeps tweeting how it has been "x amount of hours" and no one is taking up the call to help Alex. he is also tweeting out pics of various GQPers with Alex. Its delicious!
