I think the right is also fixating on the storage location as being "The big deal". Sure, it's evidence of haphazard treatment and the sheer volume. It's also hilarious (ly terrible).
But it's yet another right wing technique - seize on an irrelevant detail and pound it as if it's the central thesis, and thereby change the subject to whether storing boxes in a garage is worse than in a bathroom. Who cares where they were stored? Any discussion on that is irrelevant to the fact that Trump had documents he shouldn't have had (bad, but not necessarily criminal in and of itself), that he lied about having them (bad, making the first part criminal), that he further obstructed the recovery of said documents (also bad, also furthering the criminal parts of this), and whether he disseminated some of the information (very, very bad). The storage location is not a good luck, but the photos are merely "here is where we found this stuff".
