But it's yet another right wing technique - seize on an irrelevant detail and pound it as if it's the central thesis, and thereby change the subject to whether storing boxes in a garage is worse than in a bathroom. Who cares where they were stored? Any discussion on that is irrelevant to the fact that Trump had documents he shouldn't have had (bad, but not necessarily criminal in and of itself), that he lied about having them (bad, making the first part criminal), that he further obstructed the recovery of said documents (also bad, also furthering the criminal parts of this), and whether he disseminated some of the information (very, very bad). The storage location is not a good luck, but the photos are merely "here is where we found this stuff".

Yes, quite. You see "thought leaders" like Ben Shapiro and Jordan Peterson do this relentlessly.

"Wait, you said he had a blue shirt on that day? The fact is, his shirt was teal. Since you got that detail wrong I'll make that my central argument point. Despite the fact that you're telling me that the sun is the center of our solar system and only used the shirt color to help paint a picture in our mind, I'm going to use that to bludgeon you and distract from the fact that I'm a flat earther. But his shirt was teal! TEAL!"

Ok, I need the whole "Trump doesn't have an attorney" thing explained to me.


I thought when you 1st appeared before a judge, part of the process was to make it clear that you have the right to an attorney and you needed to declare that you have one, you need a public defender, or you want to proceed on your own. I didn't think that asking for time to find a lawyer was an option at that point.
 
Well part of it is 2 of his attorney's quit so he needs to get attorney's that are allowed to argue a case in Flo(R)ida. He has a right to ask for an extension to find someone.

Now I am no lawyer, but from the lawyers I follow this is barely even a stall tactic because at a certain point the court will enter a plea for him "Not Guilty" and move it along. This is just a procedural BS move to give him time to do his Trump thing.

From everything I have read some people are blowing this way out of proportion.

I don't think it helps that dumpy also intentionally showed the documents to people who didn't have clearance. To apparently show off.

Everyone had a Trump at school. The idiot that either lied about everything to look cool, or gave up family secrets for the same. He so lacks confidence and self-esteem despite having everything handed to him that it's the only way in his head to be a boss.

Too bad greed got in their way back in 2016. I kind of respected Ross back in 2015, but now just think he's just like dumpy- greed above everything else. The human principles that he tries to display crumble under the actions he's done to support this moron and his attempted take over of the country.

Seems like there's a good chance the r party just crumbles between the ultra rich and poor who worship dump. Both of them just need to go away.

The only chance these absolute dumbfucks will ever learn is if they're bled dry. Even then, most will happily sling themselves off a cliff. But a few will say "No, this is bad actually." And they have a short window after that realization to make the connection from "These guys are cons" to "I've been lied to about everything my entire life." Those are the people we want to convert. They'll be angry and motivated.

Maybe, but I'm not sure people who were once true Magats will ever come blue, even for a single election. Same critical zone as in '20--R voters who crossed from Obama to Trump in '16 and were either recoverable or who stayed home in '20. Also those Ds who stayed home in '16 over their dissatisfaction with HC. True Magats are filled with passionate intensity and are unlikely to fall into those groups, IMO. But maybe you are talking about the '16 BO-to-DT flippers, in which case I hope you're right. Even small numbers count big time.

Yeah the ones that will be angry are the ones that will get violent towards MAGA but they will never be converted. That would require a level of logic and understanding that they gave up on a long time ago...years before Trump. Anyone that was going to leave left...Trump showed his hand and they stayed. They won't be converted when they turn on him they will just start shooting.
