I have never seen anything like this
im curious what the legal community thinks of this. uno?
It sort of reeks of unnecessary courtroom theater. On the other hand, will it affect the outcome of the case one way or another? I don’t see how.
I think the judge knows the reaction it gets and is playing it up at this point
Hey, nobody ever told me the consequences of one bad decision would combine with the consequences of another bad decision: https://twitter.com/MacFarlaneNews/status/1460740211181121540

What a crock of ****. Lenient as hell.
HUh? 3.5 yrs isn't a vacation man. That seems about right. It's enough to ruin your life for most.
He committed treason against the United States of America. I agree it's better than nothing but it's a picnic compared to what he deserved.

He threatened the Vice President of the United States. If a black man had done that he would have been hung in the public square.
Multiple videos and images showed Chansley carrying his spear into the Senate chamber, where prosecutors say he led a group of rioters in a prayer on the dais and left a menacing note behind for then-Vice President Mike Pence.
"It's Only A Matter of Time. Justice Is Coming!" the note read.
