It's a good thing Pompeo has no charisma, because he's just as Nazi as the worst Republican but he's 100x more wily than Dump, and more ruthless.

BTW, Michael Ellis was finally excreted Friday. Biden continues to rock. I am just as surprised as anyone, but he is proving much more willing to smash heads together than Obama.

It's been refreshing to not doom scroll Twitter when I wake up wondering what fresh international conflict the President has immaturity dragged us into overnight.

And if he's p*ssing off both sides, he's doing something right. Amazing how the water carriers are silent about Dems being able to criticize their own party and not blindly follow the pied piper like the GOP does.

Between him (a couple years behind me) and Steve Menashi (3 years ahead of me), I would be able to have some fun at a multi-class reunion at Dartmouth asking some uncomfortable questions if I ever got a chance.

It honestly saddens me how how their careers have gone. I wouldn't say we were friends, but they were both more than simply casual acquaintances. Neither struck me as full blown sycophants, especially compared to many of their conservative contemporaries at the time. Ellis especially seemed more Eisenhower Republican than anything.

I’ve seen a couple of posts on FB citing this and declaring that it just shows what a weak leader Biden is. SMDH.

Obama didn't have the chops to play the game he wanted to play. He was too green and didn't have the connections. He wasn't an outsider like Trump but he wasn't exactly an insider either. He had great ideas and gave amazing speeches. Biden has been a Senator since the Fall of Rome. While it annoys people that he actually attempts to reach across the aisle the truth is he knows the best way to destroy most GOP arguments isn't by ignoring them, it is by giving them a chance to join him and when they say no he does it anyways. He has been playing the game longer than I have been alive and he gets it better than any of us could.

I mean there is a reason the GOP is trying to take credit for a bill they all voted against just a couple of months ago. The border shenanigans didn't work to destroy Biden and none of the Faux Outrage crap about Hunter or Voting is working either. His ideas are popular and helpful.

Biden is like LBJ...minus the "look at the size of my wang" stuff LBJ did to mess with people :^)
 
It's been a few days since one of the Proud Boys pleaded guilty for Jan 6. Kind of surprised it was not noted here....

Still waiting for the first charges to be pressed against dumpy, though.

One of the panelists on Maher a couple weeks ago said "It is calming to wake up without a jackhammer going right outside your window, which we had for four years straight."

Branch Rickey told Jackie that no matter what he was called or how he was treated he had to turn the other cheek because if he reacted in any way he'd be fucked. I think Obama was in a box. Biden is an old white male with no fucks to give -- he could take a sh-t on Mitch McConnell's shoes and the press would say he's colorful. Obama they'd have lynched in the well.
