There are legitimate constitutional questions about ramming through impeachment proceedings as it’s essentially a trial. The defendant has rights.

If you can find the clip of Goldman on Chris Hayes, it’s worth a listen.
 
So Trump has no outlet now...

This is going to be the straw that breaks the Camel's back... Hopefully all the pointy things have been removed from the West Wing.

Either way, this is a gambit to see who blinks first. The public is in the side of removal right now. Don’t do the heavy lifting if trump will do it himself. There’s almost zero chance this gets past the senate. Mitch will kill it on the vine.

but there is no losing scenario for Pelosi here. I’m guessing they’re consulting with a small army of lawyers to try and figure out how to wade through something as unprecedented and serious as a shotgun removal.

I'm confident it will lose in the Senate, but I really want to have all of the names who think it was ok to risk their lives by their worship. dumpy incited a planned insurrection on Congress, and it risked the lawful #2 and #3 President's life (as they threatened both) let alone all of the rest of the House and Senate. To say you are ok with a President and cronies to call that would be powerful to get them out. Or at least put "dictator lover" on their campaign.

I get the sense she’s letting some Republicans use the back channels to either get to resign or for Pence use the 25th before the House starts Impeachment.
 
Not that I should be that surprised but wow so many people know nothing about the 1st amendment.

There’s the discussion on how it would work if the impeach Trump during his term but didn’t have the trial in the Senate until after his term is over.

We’re digging deep into the corners of the Constitution.

Oh yeah. That will be the fault line. Kevin McCarthy was already on Faux not correcting Laura Goebbels when she mentioned it possibly being Antifa. The Mitt Romney's and the like will call it what it is. The ones who need the Trumpers will start shifting as soon as possible.

As I've seen pointed out, he's the Goddammed POTUS. All he needs to do is snap his fingers and announce a press conference, at any hour, and the media room will fill up and the networks will air it. But no.... whiny mc-sh**-his-pants and friends are going to complain because a private corporation told a user of it's private services to go pound sand.

It doesnt matter...Brooks knows he was at the friggin rally before the vote. He and Gaetz are psychopaths and the people who applauded them should be given 1 day to renounce everything or risk expulsion. At this point we dont heal with hugs and love we heal with amputation.
