I was born in 1980 and like KISS. Seen them twice. I think French Rage likes them too but he is afraid Kepler will mock him for it ;^)

Its ok FR...just because you happen to like Peter Chriss doesn't make you bad...

I would take Kepler's mockery of anything I like pop-culture-wise as a badge of pride.
 
I don't mock KISS fans. People should just realize that, at least in my middle school in 1975, if you liked KISS or Queen then you were not going to get a date for the next 10 years, with either sex.

You were too old I guess. Born 1967 and both were 100% in my wheelhouse.

My aunt took me to KISS for my 10th birthday (Alive II in December) and my best friend bought me News of the World as a present. The album came out on Friday - my birthday was Sunday. He invited me over that Sunday and we must have listened to in 3 or 4 times straight through and dared anyone to enter the room.

Never lacked for...
 
If you couldn't get laid listening to KISS or Queen that was on you not the music or band. Now if you listened to Rush...that guaranteed you spent Friday Nights at home playing D&D with your friends ;^)

I never liked Kiss (and 1967). ( and I never played D&D )

Odd tangent for COVID, but a nice distraction.

OTOH, if you listen to Rush when you're 15 you have better musical taste than anybody in your high school. Which likely also guarantees you won't get laid cuz BRUUUUUUUUUUUUCE!

At least it was almost palatable to fake it with Bruce to get laid in 1979. I shudder what guys are saying they like now. Bieber? Dua Lipa? Pus-sy is pus-sy, but there's a limit.
 
Putin is having a Trump hangover: Moscow is being locked down due to rising cases, businesses are forcing employees to be vaccinated, death tolls are rising again, only 1/3 of the nation is vaccinated, and public distrust of Putin is growing.

I was only 12 then- *might* have had my very first cassette tape that was my own (which was Queen), but sometime in the early 80's I got Ghost in the Machine (which came out in 81).

This is way before walkmans, so we all had to use mom & dad's stuff.
 
A guy I know through the Boston area music scene passed away, and it sounds like his family is blaming a vaccine. Gutting either way, he was in his thirties and just way, way too young. Dude was super cool the few times I met him. His brother, also in bands, and in the same band, is a mess apparently.

Covid sucks. It doesn't just affect the sick.
