Gov. Ron DeSantis's (R-FL) new anti-mask line: “Politicians wanna force you to cover your face as a way for them to cover their own asses.”

President Biden on governors trying to block mask mandates in school: "We're not going to sit by as governors try to block and intimidate educators for protecting our children."

I do like how DeathSantis has Regeneron on stand bye...what a remarkable coincidence that his biggest political donor is a major investor in Regeneron. If only Citadel would invest in Pfizer or Moderna Flo(R)ida might not be the Alabama of Mississippis!

I believe I read that it’s costing a shit ton to use regeneron- so this all makes perfect sense

We are getting one helluva lesson in democracy.

Another quote comes to mind. Jefferson didn't say it, but it's sure been thought of before -- likely whenever anyone observed a reactionary in the wild.

The Founders were right. Voting requires certain responsibilities and one of them is to subordinate your derp, however much you love it, to the facts. These people fail that. They shouldn't have a voice. They are terrorists.

That seems to be the new BS rallying cry. It has showed up all over the country. The San Diego video that went viral had that in it as well.

This country is lost.

I don't have kids and don't pay attention to "school politics" much. But what is keeping these school boards from telling the DERP to just pay up and put their kids in private school if a mask is so horrific? Most occurrences seem to be in well-off, mostly Caucasian districts, so are they afraid of losing funding? I realize that this might not be possibly in incidents where the person speaking is stereotypical "rural Southern DERP", but those seem to be the minority here.

Is it literally a fear of the entire town screaming "Won't somebody think of the CHILDREN?!?!"

If this isn't an indicator of grasping at straws, I don't know what else you need to see. If this was a real and honest problem, it would have been brought up a LOOOOOOONNNNNGGGGGGG time ago. It would have been a fundamental point in people getting the vaccine.

But instead, they are running out of steam of ideas, like sic did, and ignoring the fact that this is an approved vaccine. Emergency approval, sure, but approval none the less. With the subsequent data backing up the emergency approval data.

It also shows that these people think that arguing in the court of public opinion is some kind of legal thing. Much like how there has been zero evidence presented in an actual court of law, especially ones that actually had the power to change the election. Noting that one of the most conservative of the SCOTUS decided to not hear a case over required vaccines, this seems like a rather steep hill to climb.

1. There are large enough numbers of these morons in almost every school district to cause trouble.
2. Dems don't bother to vote for school boards so they are stacked with Creationist types.
3. Like with guns, the looniest people are the most vocal.

All of this puts schools in a noose. My daughter's school's principal has to fight numbnut parents, the numbnut school board, and her numbnut (AZ) governor.

Yep the Qs are getting people on schoolboards all over the country.

So it really is a minority ruling the masses...
