The vast majority of veterans, maybe 90%, never come close to combat. Many didn't routinely carry a weapon as part of their duties. My guess is a lot of the ones who did see bullets or other weapons come their direction had enough of that while they were deployed and are not the majority of veterans participating in violent insurrection like we saw yesterday.

So? Why can't we demand that they impeach him????? There HAS to be consequences that the president put Congress in harms way. And then failed to give them any protection for a long time. The guy directly threatened congress with terrorism.

Something has to happen, and the only way anything gets started is if WE demand something happen.

Go do it.

Get used to it. Nothing is going to happen to anyone other than a few misdemeanor arrests for trespassing or vandalism. Maybe a few will to a felony level if they can prove a dollar amount on some destruction. What we saw yesterday is going to be treated like a little first amendment revelry that just got a little out of hand. No one in any position of authority or responsibility will pay anything for their crimes or their complicity. The most we're going to get is a lot of concerned rhetoric from some concerned democrats. They will all be channeling their inner Susan Collins.

He'll just retire or resign before Schumer gets the opportunity for a symbolic firing. Now if firing is all that is warranted, fine. Fire him, or maybe he quits. But my guess is there is a whole lot more to this than just some incompetence, no matter how gross, on the part of SOMEBODY.

It's always the guys thumping their chests about their military service and demanding to be respected for it that are the ones who did the least dangerous work.

Agreed. Plus with impeachment, they could prevent Trump from running again in 2024...which might be equally as important as removing him from office now.

Who said you cant? Good lord dude calm down. I said they dont have the votes. Congressmen Bass was on CNN and said she wasn't for it. (Moulson after said he was) If the votes arent there Pelosi would be stupid to bring it to the floor.
