The scientists are doing what they can. We can fault them but I'd prefer to just listen and do what's best moment to moment.
After the last 4 years no conservative can ever criticize anyone ever again for any reason. Not motives or competence or honesty. They are not welcome in the discussion. They are terrorists.
Yeah, Texas and this pandemic should be ending anyone wanting them in charge of anything ever again. Unfortunately to get there the human not only has to have a brain, but has to be able to process information and come to a rational, logical conclusion.
That excludes at least 50% of the country right now.
White House: States to now get 14.5m vaccine doses per week
They’re allocating based on the number of Senators each state has - totally fair, right? :<)Without looking shouldn't the amount per state be more uneven based upon population disparities?

Not sure why it took so long to have this come to mind... but I posted where the US hit 500,000 dead and considered the comparisons between cancer and heart disease....
But COVID has been the #1 cause of death for a few months now in the US.
Heart disease takes just under 700,000/year, which is under 2,000 per day. Thinking that there is some considerable scatter in that, the actual daily average of 1904 rounds up well to 2,000/day. IIRC, COVID took 2,000/day back in December, so COVID has been the #1 cause of death in the US since early December, and it will remain that for some time. (one month was just barely under 100,000 or over 3000/day- over the last 30 days)
Feel free to keep downplaying that this is a minor virus, like a cold, etc....
Without looking shouldn't the amount per state be more uneven based upon population disparities?
"The devil is already here.
New, stronger strain homegrown in California. I wish people wouldn't start acting like we're on the downslope of this virus.

I believe that number is apportioned differently to each state. No idea how they figure it out. The 14.5 million is the total.
That article is being ripped apart.
Sample size was tiny, and the "11 times more deadly" or whatever is nearly fiction. It's an unusually sloppy bunch of garbage from a paper that typically does much better work (See their long form article on oxy from several years ago). Ignore crap like this.
Also - you're 100% correct though. We're not yet on the downslope. We still need to be very careful. I absolutely agree with you there.
