Trump wants to use nuclear weapons to stop hurricanes from reaching US soil.

He's going to the The Onion out of business.

Orange Droolius threatens another national emergency (I thought everything was going great?) and if these statements are verbatim the dude is really losing it:

I could declare a national emergency, I think when they steal and take out and intellectual property theft anywhere from $300 billion to $500 billion a year and when we have a total lost of almost a trillion dollars a year for many years,” Trump said, adding that he had no plan right now to call for a national emergency.

Actually we are getting along very well with China right now, we are talking. I think they want to make a deal much more than I do. I’m getting a lot of money in tariffs its coming in by the billions. We’ve never gotten 10 cents from China, so we will see what happens.”

Yes we're aware that his statements repeatedly require translation:

When asked if Trump had second thoughts about Friday’s move to escalate the trade war with China, Trump said “Yup.” “I have second thoughts about everything,” he added.

Hours later, the White House issued a statement saying that Trump meant to say that he wished he had raised tariffs on Beijing even higher.

“His answer has been greatly misinterpreted. President Trump responded in the affirmative - because he regrets not raising the tariffs higher,” White House spokeswoman Stephanie Grisham wrote in a statement.

Fox morning show still his advisers?

“I think they respect the trade war, it has to happen. China has been, well I can only speak for the United States, I can’t say what they are doing to the U.K. and other places, but from the standpoint of the United States what they’ve done is outrageous that presidents and administrations allowed them to get away with taking hundreds of billions of dollars out every year and putting it into China,” Trump said.

“Our country is doing really well, we had horrible trade deals and I’m straightening them out. The biggest one by far is China,” he added.

So embarrassing

“JUST IN: Trump administration officials have accused French President Emmanuel Macron of trying to embarrass President Trump by dictating the G-7 Summit in a way that focuses on "niche issues" like climate change rather than the economy, with one aide saying that Francis is trying to keep nations "silent on these core economic issues."

https://thehill.com/homenews/admini...mplain-g-7-summit-focusing-on-niche-issues-to

We don't exchange love letters like I do with Junie (my nickname for his is Junie isn't that cute?), but...

Trump and Macron held a private lunch on Saturday before the beginning of the summit. At their meeting, Trump said that the two had a "very good relationship."

“We've been friends for a long time. And every once in a while, we go at it just a little bit — not very much. But we get along very well. We have a very good relationship — sort of, I think I can say, a special relationship,” he said. “And I think we'll accomplish a lot this weekend, and I look forward to it.”

Horrible China, forcing all those American corporations to give them their money. If only those poor companies had some alternative.

"My" stock market gains. And they said Obama had an ego and used the word "I" too much.

Reading his twitter feed today is like reading an alternate reality. But, hey, tons of people here at the office still love the guy.

The lack of humility is amazing and very concerning.

Again, this is news? He has always been this. He is a POS. This is not a development.

My office went 80% for Dump in 2016. They will go 80% for Dump in 2020 assuming he doesn't detonate in a sh-t stain of rage and syphilitic puss before then.

His supporters don't know and wouldn't care if they did know. Their brains don't function. We even have some here.

This is something you are only now discovering? We knew who and exactly what he was before the election. And yet, you chose to overlook all that anyway.

Because......that biitch, or something.

You guys wanted to see the world burn. Congratulations, you got your wish. How you liking it?

I’m talking about the people who are still backing him, especially the educated ones. It’s one thing to read some random poll and it’s another to actually know and work with them.

Re: POTUS 45.57: We Should Have Voted for Zaphod Beeblebrox Instead.

Enemies lists. Everything old is new again.

We have to beat him and beat the GOP and drive fascism off the continental shelf.

Some good news, if you believe in hope.

I understand that racists and phobes raise racist and phobic children and so we will never be actually rid of them, but unless the Republicans get their way and end democratic elections we should be able to contain them as they gradually kill themselves off in their rat-, gun-, illiteracy-, and pollution- infested red states. This problem contains its own solution. They are self-segregating to places that are the most dangerous, least healthy, least educated, and least competent because they are the majorities there. It's a virtuous cycle. Let them.

Stop trying to nurse back to health the hyena that will rip your face off the second it has the strength. We have our own to take care of. These people have had their chance. They have opposable thumbs. They could have chosen to be civilized, they were just too lazy and selfish.

Ohh, snap. What a weak, weak man.

That clip is perfect in so many ways. Seeing that fat, old loser surrounded by women and looking (being) so small and impotent.

What a metaphor for the right in general and Republican men in particular.

Dementia: https://politicaldig.com/trump-misses-g-7-session-on-climate-change-the-offers-bizarre-explanation

President Donald Trump on Monday missed a session at the Group of Seven (G-7) summit in France focused on climate, biodiversity and oceans, Reuters reports.

Trump was not in the room when reporters were allowed to observe the session, and his seat was empty. The heads of government of the other six nations that comprise the G-7 were there.

Trump met with German Chancellor Angela Merkel a short time after the climate session and was asked if he had attended. He offered a bizarre answer.

“I’m going to. In fact, it’s going to be our next session. I want clear air and clean water,” Trump said after a reporter noted the session had just happened.

How does the secret service not straight up tell him "Sir, you need to be at ______ at 11:30am. We need to leave now."?

Serious question on this. The R's in Washington can't be this dumb. They have to realize they Trump is hurting the "brand". Guys that have made a 20+ year career out of politics have to see this, right? How can there not be internal blow back on stuff like this?

I'm asking this as someone who knows that there is a political game, but doesn't really understand the nuance required to play. To become a player in Washington, you have to know how to manipulate people. I can't see people who can work on that level being happy that they are being bossed around by a toddler....

The Secret Service is not there to keep his schedule straight, there's WH staff for that. The Sec. Service is there to keep him alive. Sadly.
