Your team's best/worst box score

Re: Your team's best/worst box score

Any time the goal differential between the two teams is twice the shot differential, well, that's just not good...

I remember when Kelly Shields came in, I want to say the first three shots he faced went in. It was brutal...

Re: Your team's best/worst box score

Not the worst ever, but the worst this season, that is for sure.

Worst loss I've been in attendance for.

This is still an NCAA record for scoring margin in a title game - a record that has stood for early 50 years. DU played four total playoff games that year and outscored its opponents 35-6. This was the most dominant playoff performance ever.

Re: Your team's best/worst box score

I am in A Shot and a Goal's camp re: boxscores

that being said, here are some of the most lopsided maine wins

Maine 16 - Umass Lowell 0
March 3, 1990
That game was on the heels of a 7-3 win for Maine the night before...

Miami had a rough go of it, losing 11-4 and 10-1 on back to back nights at the Alfond in January 1991.

Maine 15 - Army 5 in January, 1992.

Maine 19 - Mt. Allison 5 (ex) in October, 1988

And what was the worst, 16-1 loss to Minny during Walshy's first season?

Re: Your team's best/worst box score

Other than the national championships, probably the best box score in Cornell history was, March 6, 1979:

Cornell 6
Providence 5
OT

What it doesn't say was that Cornell was down 5-1 with 16:00 left in the third and tied the game at 5 with 13 seconds left, after Randy Wilson missed the open net for Providence.

The...best...game...EVER.

Re: Your team's best/worst box score

Most demoralizing (does it really need to be posted)

More uplifting - Miami registers 11 goals to Canisius' 10 shots

Yea the worst box score is pretty easy. Honestly I'd say this for best box score, was a few years ago at the old Goggin so not sure if you were there then, but I remember it well. Pretty much Rico's coming out against top CCHA teams.

We've been on a pretty good roll since that season (except for the injury plagued 04-05 campaign).

You had to know at least one game was going to end up here as the best and the worst.
