Re: Your Preferred "Nontraditional" FF Location?

Seattle #1 can be Cincinnati. At least then with the 4 hour delay we can leave the arena again to get cheap food and booze. Stupid Ford Field...

Re: Your Preferred "Nontraditional" FF Location?

I think Chicago would be a great choice. Pro team present (and their recent success/rejuvenation for things hockey could help), central location between east/west college hockey, large city, and big tv market (more possible viewers, since the locals might tune in due to advertising in the city, etc).

Re: Your Preferred "Nontraditional" FF Location?

I voted for Chitown.
but, as much as I'm against hockey in football stadiums, I'd be 100% in favor of a New Orleans Frozen 4. I probably wouldn't even go to the games, I'd just stay on Bourbon Street.

Re: Your Preferred "Nontraditional" FF Location?

I like Chicago, but it is my second choice.

NYC, baby. That would be awesome.

Re: Your Preferred "Nontraditional" FF Location?

For the record, I only voted for Chicago because my first choice, Mobile, Alabama, wasn't an option.

Re: Your Preferred "Nontraditional" FF Location?

Toss up between Chicago and Philly both fun towns with good support

Re: Your Preferred "Nontraditional" FF Location?

Is Pittsburgh considered a traditional FF town? that would be a great spot, especially with their new arena opening up.

Re: Your Preferred "Nontraditional" FF Location?

My vote is not for Freddy Mayer, but rather for Buffalo. A little TOO traditional to be on the list, mayhaps?

Re: Your Preferred "Nontraditional" FF Location?

i voted for phoenix so i could take papagiorgio back to yuma and leave him there.

Re: Your Preferred "Nontraditional" FF Location?

FWIW, if the city has hosted a FF in recent memory, they're not on the list. Therefore Buffalo and Cincinnati aren't there but Pittsburgh is.

Any information to the rumor that 'Backman' and parents have filed suit against Yale for 50 million plus because Backman and team-mates were drunk and hammered, broke into the Yale pool facility were Backman procceded to fall off a three meter diving board, just missed hitting his head on a starters block, and shattered his ankle and heel...of course it's Yale's fault...

So your vote is for Yale's pool facility? I think there may be capacity and ice making issues...

Re: Your Preferred "Nontraditional" FF Location?

Chicago because its still close to being home for the Badgers and because it would be easy for me to make the trip down to Chi-town.
Badger Nation would be out in force for a game like that. They'd be so much cardinal and red in that arena that it would be just like being at the Kohl!

Re: Your Preferred "Nontraditional" FF Location?

I voted for Miami mainly due to the weather and the facility in Sunrise, FL where the Panthers play is fantastic. The only downside is the rink is basically in the middle of nowhere off the hghway.

Re: Your Preferred "Nontraditional" FF Location?

Chicago is a great city, but the rink is in the middle of nowhere. It's not like DC, Milwaukee, or Boston in so far as the rink it set right downtown. Pittsburgh would be a good time. Dallas could be a neat option, too.
