Re: Yale Skating Circles around WHCA

For the record, I don't agree with the original post about Yale skating circles around the WCHA. I think that is a little absurd based on the emotion of the fan, and, in turn, it brought out all these Yale haters. I will say, however, that I still think Yale is the best team in the country. A 5-1 victory over a top flight program in their own barn (you can make all the excuses for/about CC that you want, some which are fair, but they did just pump Denver 9-2 a week ago) when you get five goals from five different players, none of which are your top three scorers, it tells a bit of a story. The story gets a bit more interesting, too, when you realize that Yale's top three scorers are 2nd, 3rd & 4th in the nation in points per game. Oh yeah, and Ryan Rondeau is 4-0, with a 2.00 GAA, .928 save %.

That said, hockey is a fickle game and who knows, Frank's boys could steal one tonight in the Springs...but probably not.

Stop starting a thread every time something happens...just write about it in yours.

Re: Yale Skating Circles around WHCA

They're not too intelligent out west....like their players.

Re: Yale Skating Circles around WHCA

Wanted to make sure I got the attention of Drity et al and their rants about the superior WHCA vs. any/all EZAC teams.

Mission accomplished.

WTG. You should ask Yale if they'll hang a banner for you at the Whale Arena or whereever the hell it is that the Bullpuppies play.

I am glad that you started a thread just for me though. I obviously matter that much to you. So thanks.

Precisely the response I expected. Watch them. You can even charge my credit card the $7 on B2 (or whatever they call themselves now).

I'll take that credit card number, please. Also the expiration date, CID number and the exact spelling of your name as it appears on the card.

I'll buy you a UMD t-shirt too so you can be a fan of the real Bulldogs.

You've also succeeded in making yourself look as intelligent as a St. Cloud State fan. So congratulations on that. Furthermore, do not blame the rest of us for your academic shortcomings that led to Harvard's rejection of you. That is on your lack of achievement. Also, I wonder if you're not secretly George W. Bush.

Hey guy, can you give brenthoven some internet lessons? I'll pay for them...

Re: Yale Skating Circles around WHCA

Maybe. But then Minnestoa is like that kid that was always better because he was bigger and more mature than his peers, and suddenly, he gets leap frogged because he let all that "talent" go to his head and sat on his laurels. At least that is how I would characterize Minnesota's program right now. Don't cast stones from glass houses.

This will all get ironed out in March / April. These games are relatively meaningless and come crunch time, we will see which teams can hold serve.

Yale certainly got the better of UND last year, and you could viably argue that Yale was the #2 team in the country last year behind BC (and with any sense of even an average goalie, could very well have been #1)

Except, of course, Minnesota is the youngest team in the WCHA, and have been providing the most talent to the NHL lately. Other than that, you are dead on.

I'd hardly say that this shows any superiority of the ECAC. It's the best team in the ECAC playing against a team that will be in the bottom half of the WCHA. Let's put CC against one of your bottom half ECAC teams and watch what happens.:p

Perhaps Minnesota should move to the AHL then.

Minnesota hockey: We don't care about NCAA titles, just sending kids to the show!
