End of the first and RPI holding a 1-0 lead. Yale is definitely a faster team than we saw last night and they forecheck deeply even sending one man behind our net. Cannot afford any blind passes against this team. A good period and off to a good start. Amazing how fast the period flies by when we play Yale. Not a ton of whistles and stoppages as both teams just skate.

Over the past few years-no matter who won-the RPI/Yale games are just about the most entertaining. Both coaches believe in pushing the puck up and a high energy game. Not always the case with other ECAC match ups
