OK - enough screwing around. Just win this one by scoring several early goals so it is not a nail biter and we can all sit back and relax watching the rest of the game. Seriously, the season begins again with all the ECAC games and we need to show we are at the very least, a competitive team that will be fighting for a home playoff spot. Go Red!!!!!
 
We have been playing much better lately, but if we cannot stay out of the box, we will continue to suffer.
Either that, or we have to sore up our penalty killing.
As is always the case, we have to go out and play for 60/65 minutes and come away with a victory.

We are enjoying an afternoon out at a local fine establishment and hope to get to see at least the girls play some hockey. The place is empty enough that we should not have any competition for the ESPN+ feed at the bar for at least the next couple hours. Will try to be back here later for the 7 PM game but Friday nights can get busy and we might not get to see much of the boys. Might try to do the same tomorrow although the weather here is supposed to deteriorate through the day. We should avoid any snow down this far south in the state but even a high wind rain storm can wreck havoc around here. Go Red! For both games today and tomorrow.
 
Supposedly they are offering free tickets to the men's hockey games if you attend the women's games today or tomorrow. From what I can see, that has not worked out since the HFH is like an echo chamber today. Not sure any one is in the stands. BTW the girls are tied 0-0 after the first period.
 
Considering we got called for the only 3 penalties so far, being up 3-1 is a surprise. These two teams look rather even out there. Not sure if we are at full strength though as a couple ladies are not suited up for this one who usually play.
 
Final in the women's game: RPI 5, Vermont 1. Engineers played well but tomorrow will be a tougher test as VT will likely have Macpherson in net.
 
Final for the ladies 5-1 as they did not take their feet off the pedals. Well done! Come back tomorrow for a repeat. Home for us now and hope to get back for the boys later if possible.
 
Just to let everyone know Watson is not playing tonight. In fact, he’s not even dressed. Would love to know why…
