Yale @ RPI- 38th Annual Big Red Freakout! 2/14/15

Re: Yale @ RPI- 38th Annual Big Red Freakout! 2/14/15

for those watching the rpitv broadcast...

....what I miss about RPI hockey program is the winning...

SS: It has been a long time. I am still the most fervent fan and supporter but I have seen my expectations lowered so far that it is beginning to feel like 1965-66.

Yeah Doc, it appears that we have overestimated the talent on this team because everybody else's talent is better.

I have given up on expectations. And this isn't the first season that that has happened. :(

They're not awful to watch. they are however fundamentally unsound in just about every aspect of the game.

i do not think our talent level is lower than most teams we play. There is so much else wrong that the talent is the least of it. We do so much differently than other teams that it seems we are not even laying the same game. I have never seen a team constantly pass backwards either to the point or back behind our own net. I have never seen an RPI team take so long to start a rush up ice.

I can't believe the decision by RPI-TV to broadcast this nonsense between periods rather than cover the intros of the old timers. Who cares about the pranksters?

Talent not only includes physical ability but also hockey sense which we seem to lack in many instances

Oh, they were introducing old timers between periods?

I wondered why it seemed to be taking an awfully long time to start the third.

I agree. I am a huge fan of the broadcasts, but they could have shown that on any other broadcast. Really disappointed.

Complete agreement. I am always curious as to who shows up for this.

OTOH, the students probably don't care.

Even more of a reason to show on the broadcast. The students watching the broadcast has to be miniscule compared to alumni
