The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
If we play like we did against Lowell, we win. I don't expect that to happen because these teams know each other too well for one team to take the other out of its style of play entirely. What I do expect is for both teams to leave it all on the ice so the team that capitalizes on its chances best will win. For that to be Yale, they must get traffic in front of Hartzell. Dirty, gritty goals will win the game. Yale has to get several of those tonight to win.
Congratulations Yale. All night tonight I kept thinking about the final ECAC game of the 95/96 season between Union and Yale and how far both of these programs have come since then. For those that don't remember that game, Union and Yale were both mathematically eliminated from the ECAC playoffs and were playing each other to stay out of the ECAC basement. Union won, and I forget the score but what I remember from that night was how hard both teams played, including a pro style fight between future NHL tough guy John Emmons and Union's Pat O'Flaherty.
WOO HOO!!!!!!! Way to go, Yale!!! Fantastic game!!!!! Heartfelt congratulations on your first National Championship. Well deserved!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Congratulations to Yale! Without a doubt, your Bulldogs were the best team in the NCAA Tournament. That was one of the more impressive performances by any team in the last decade in the NCAA Tournament.
National Championship do not come easy...but Yale made it look so over the past two weekends. Once again, congratulations. Well deserved National Title for Yale.
Unbelievable! NATIONAL CHAMPIONS!!!!! Bittersweet seeing Ed Maturo on the Quinnipiac bench. 33 years at Yale before retiring, then coming out of retirement to help out QU, only to see the Bulldogs take it all.
As all of you may gather from the lack of "Lux et.." in my user name I am not usually a Yale fan.
Just to tell you that I watched the game and the amazing Yale team tonight. Truly awesome hockey!
Best of luck to all on the team. (except for future games versus the Crimson)
Well done gentlemen!!
Congrats on coming out of NOWHERE to play like the best team in the country. Well-deserved. Can't wait to play the defending national champs next year.
