KEARNEY HEADED TO UTAH

TRENTON, NJ - The Trenton Titans, members of the ECHL and proud affiliate of the National Hockey League's Philadelphia Flyers, announced the trade of former Yale forward Denny Kearney to the Utah Grizzlies for future considerations.

A native of Hanover, NH, Kearney (6-1, 195) is a Yale graduate who played six games with Springfield in the AHL, after a four-year career with the Bulldogs in 2010-11.

Kearney played 33 games for Trenton last year before an arm injury ended his season. He registered four goals, 12 assists and a plus-5 rating with the Titans.

Re: Yale Bulldogs Hockey - 2012-2013

Just noticed that Brad Peltz is not on the 2012 roster. A quick Google search finds that has been invited to try out as a forward for the Binghamton Senators of the AHL. Quite a leap, if he makes it.

A leap? How about a quantum leap!!
Daddy must have bought the team.
He never fit in with his teammates. Most of the time he was healthy scratch sitting alone during games. No teammates around him. That speaks volumes.

Hearing good things about many of the incoming freshmen, particularly among the defenseman O'Gara, Obuchowski and Wittek. This could be really good news.

Yale Single Game Tickets: http://purchase.tickets.com/buy/TicketPurchase?organ_val=21801&event_val=MHKY&schedule=list

Note the Saturday October 20th scrimmage; it is not yet listed on Yale's schedule. This will be a free event, I believe, as no tickets are being sold for 10/20. No word on the opposition. After Oct 20th, Yale is away for two weekends before coming home on Friday November 9th vs. Clarkson.

A friend close to the program told me that it will be a blue and white scrimmage as no opponent could be scared up.

This is the part of the season that drives me nuts! College hockey games everywhere ... Except the Ivys!

Re: Yale Bulldogs Hockey - 2012-2013

Anyone going to the scrimmage tonight and/or Ivy Shootout next weekend? I'm out of town two weekends in a row but hope that some of our list members will post their observations. I will be going up to Harvard in November - will anyone else be making the trip?

Re: Yale Bulldogs Hockey - 2012-2013

The Miller, Agostino and Root line were dominant last night tallying about six goals. Let's get the REAL games going!

Re: Yale Bulldogs Hockey - 2012-2013

Interesting take on Yale for this upcoming season, not sure how really knowledgeable the author is, as he has Peltz as a key returnee, lol.

Admittedly, there are some mistakes on some of the capsules, especially since this is predominantly a Massachusetts thing that focuses on some of the teams up here. Apologies for a couple of mistakes on your team; I'll admit that I don't know as much about Yale as I do about the AHA teams, Harvard, or Brown (and some Hockey East teams).

Believe me , you probably know more than we do. We won't know anything until Friday night. You get a pass on the Peltz disappearance, it's a long story. With a couple of trips up there this year hopefully you will get to see Yale in action. Keep up the good work.
