Yale Bulldogs Hockey - 2012-2013

Re: Yale Bulldogs Hockey - 2012-2013

A little self promotional, but a look at Beattie on youtube, leave the volume off.

Carson Cooper profile, i liked the quote "I hated playing against him", from his teammate.

LT - Remember, too, that most of that Beattie video is almost two years old. You Yale folks should definitely be excited about this kid...

Re: Yale Bulldogs Hockey - 2012-2013

The Orzetti kid has me intrigued as well, 6' 4" and 215#. He is already bigger than Langanieere and from what I have read is not afraid to use his size. Yale has not had a guy they could park in front of the net for years, should be something to see.

Re: Yale Bulldogs Hockey - 2012-2013

Hello Yale Fans,

First off, I hope you are all having great summers and are getting ready for the hockey season to start back up.

I'm writing on this thread is that it currently looks like I won't have the necessary time to run my blog (www.ecachockeyblog.blogspot.com) this season. I've been trying to think of ideas of how to keep the blog running, while not putting as much time into it as usual, but still keep it relevant to the college hockey community. So, I came up with this idea of a blog network. If you're not 100% sure what a blog network is check out SB Nation. I feel this could be the only way for my blog to survive, but at the same time could benefit ECAC Hockey fans and the blogging community.

I'm hoping to find a blogger for each of the ECAC teams to create the network. Currently, bloggers from Quinnipiac and Union have committed to the network (and possibly Clarkson & Colgate soon). From what I can tell, there isn't an active Yale Hockey blog, so I'm writing here to see if anyone has any interest in doing so. I can always help with getting the blog off the ground.

If you have any interest or questions, please email me at ecachockeyblog@gmail.com.

Thank you for your time, and good luck to the Bulldogs this season.

The future of Yale

Day and Ago have been in New Haven together all summer working out, playing hockey, golfing, and preparing to tear it up.

Thanks for the heads up Ralph, it's time to ramp up for the season. Once the kids are back in school we should start hearing more about our young team. Dropped my daughter at UCONN today, I made her promise me to attend a hockey game there this year.

Re: Yale Bulldogs Hockey - 2012-2013

Received my season ticket renewal today. They have made aisle 7 available as a reserved and season ticket section, those looking to upgrade or get new season tickets can sit directly behind the visitors net. I am very tempted but am going to remain in my high perch. Prices in my section went up slightly IIRC. Still a bargain at $175 a seat.

Filled out my renewal this morning (staying in Aisle 8 Row B down by the band) and put in dibs for Denver, CC and BC tix. Thanks, Ralph, for the link to the RPI blog. Looking forward to the season! Anyone planning to go to Brown for the Ivy Shootout?

Re: Yale Bulldogs Hockey - 2012-2013

I am staying in Aisle 9 top row, I like the unobstructed view and the short six seat row. We were moved twice for TV games last year, not sure if there are any scheduled this year. I am going to attempt a Brown trip, tentative right now.

Any chance of an organized "tailgate" in Denver or Colorado Springs? Love the chance for the Bulldogs to take on top caliber programs!

Tailgate would be great! Maybe we can nudge Yale Athletics to sponsor one...

Re: Yale Bulldogs Hockey - 2012-2013

LTsatch, I'll venture a guess:

A scalper bought at least 11 General Admission Season Tickets and is unloading them on unsuspecting buyers at highly inflated prices. First game 10/26 vs. Darmouth on Stubhub shows "When You Get Your Tickets: Tuesday October 23, 2012"; meaning that the seller doesn't have the tickets yet.

Venture capitalism that would bring a tear to Mitt Romney's eye. :D
