Re: Yale Bulldogs Hockey - 2012-2013

Thanks for starting this can't wait for the upcoming season, alot of question marks with the large amount of new players coming in. I would like to see the defense improve as well as seeing Miller use his offensive capabilities more. He will have to shoot more if he is leading a line. Langanierre should mature into a beast this year.

Re: Yale Bulldogs Hockey - 2012-2013

The success of this year's team will depend on their defensive consistency. They'll be able to score, but to win they'll need the young d-men and (one of) the senior goalies to step up.

Re: Yale Bulldogs Hockey - 2012-2013

First time renewing my season tickets. Does the Yale ticket office give the past years season ticket holders first shot at renewing their previous years seats? How have season ticket holders been notified for renewal in the past? Thanks for any help!

I'm not a season ticket holder so I'm not sure how prior season season ticket holders are contacted. I would think a letter and/or e-mail might be forthcoming.

Keep an eye on this webpage for updates: http://www.yalebulldogs.com/information/tickets/hockey

I'm keeping an eye out for "single game" tickets to the BC game on January 5th. Daughter is a senior at Simmons College this fall and the wife and I might drive up to Boston for the weekend and catch the Jan 5th game at BC.

8 Freshmen coming in for this year. One of the Defensemen, Rob O'Gara (6-4, 205lbs) is a 5th round (2011) draft pick by the Bruins. Here is a recent Hockey Journal update on O'Gara: http://hockeyjournal.com/news/bruins/2011-12/Bruins_Development_Camp_Profile-_Robbie_O-Gara

The Yale Athletics Ticket Office should send you renewal information - I believe renewals went out in late August or early September last year. They will let you keep your prior year's seats and also will offer you the opportunity to "move up" if you're interested. Apparently the prime seats are center ice on the home side, but I'm keeping my vistors' side second row seats next to the Yale PHB!

The Yale Athletic Ticket office is generally the best source for away tickets. We are planning a road trip to Denver/CO Springs for the Thanksgiving games, and probably will head up to the BC game as well.

Re: Yale Bulldogs Hockey - 2012-2013

You will hear from about renews in late August early September. If you want away game tickets, best bet is to call Yale's ticket office in advance. Shouldn't be a problem.

Re: Yale Bulldogs Hockey - 2012-2013

From a fan's point of view, the home schedule is lousy. 2 games every month except for December. Great away games, but only one out of confernce game at home...UMASS.

Re: Yale Bulldogs Hockey - 2012-2013

FYI, I received a reply from Jeremy in the ticket office. He is always extremely helpful for any ticketing issue I have had with Yale!

"We will be sending out renewal info in the next couple weeks. We will notify you with a packet (sent through the mail) and email notice as well. You’ll have the opportunity to renew/make changes before sales are opened up to the general public."

Just really noticed that myself, it is almost as if they are not playing enough home games. I think it may have more to do with the way the calender falls than the actual schedule. 5 out of six games away in Feb. does really suck as far as fairness down the stretch, usually the last eight weekends of the season rotate home and away respectively.

I see ushr has avon senior Griff Martin decommitting from Yale now. wonder if he'll follow Sullivan to BC?

Completely different situations with Sullivan and Martin, as in I doubt Martin really de-committed. I'd anticipate Martin ending up in Massachusetts but more like Bentley then Boston College.

Another Connecticut kid lost to another school, maybe he's going to UCONN?

Re: Yale Bulldogs Hockey - 2012-2013

He was a depth kid. I don't know what depth Yale has on the blue line, but assuming they have the bodies, this isn't a big loss for them.
