Yale Bulldogs Hockey - 2012-2013

Re: Yale Bulldogs Hockey - 2012-2013

Since this is a serious thread, I will say congrats to Yale, and good luck in Pittsburgh!! Definitely the best team in Grand Rapids this weekend.

Agreed. Neither win was a fluke. Good luck, but I'm still going to root for Miami or St. Cloud State. People have been taking ECAC-like swipes at the NCHC since its formation.

Thanks to WYBC for bringing the Bulldogs back to AM radio this season. Hope you guys continue on in Pittsburgh. Great weekend for the Bulldogs.

Thanks Stan! We're excited to be back on the AM, and even more excited about the Bulldogs! What an incredible game yesterday.

And yes, WYBC will be in Pittsburgh in just about 10 days!

Enjoy the ride. We had a great first varsity season, capped by the OT win at Wisconsin, so we know how you feel.

My partner and I will be at Consol - hope we get the chance to say hi. We might even "Root" for your guys. :D

Congrats on a well-deserved win, and good luck in Pittsburgh. If you are looking for tickets, please let me know.

Welcome to our blue and white cloud nine.

Hello Yalies:

I sit on the opposite side of the field from you at The Game.

When the pairings were first announced, someone posted a snippy comment ridiculing Yale based in part on its dismal performance in the ECAC final four and saying Yale didn't belong in the NCAAs. I replied that the Gophers better come to play, as Yale was a very good team that had a bad weekend.

See how smart we Harvard guys are? :-)

I'm not alone among Harvard fans in having my Crimson blood turn blue for a couple of weeks. Some of us would love to see otherwise arch rival strike two more blows for the Ivy League and the ECAC. GO BULLDOGS!!!

Thanks, 4faz. Last year, I even rooted for Cornell. Does your ecumenical spirit go that far?

Re: Yale Bulldogs Hockey - 2012-2013

A truly surreal weekend. It was so great to see Yale play their game after the atrocious AC weekend. Hoping to make it P-burgh, and we will as long as we can get tickets.

Go Blue!

LT, I just wanted to drop by and congratulate you. You've been a good sport the past few years but have stayed to fight the good fight for your Bulldogs on this board. I'm definitely thrilled for you. If I had known Yale was going to make it to Pitt, I would have just saved my tix and given them to you...

ps - great pic. :D

Thanks, appreciate the kind words and thoughts. I am still in somewhat of a state of shock over last weekends results. We knew Yale was good, but they were so erratic that you could not judge what team would appear from one game to the next. It looks like Allain mixed things up a bit a just the right time and has these kids firing on all cylinders. The thing that makes me most happy is that Andrew Miller is getting a chance to show his play making skills on a national level. I told a Columbus Blue Jacket scout at the SLU game to keep an eye on him, because I have never seen a player (in the ECAC at least) with better vision on the ice. He never makes the pass that the D thinks is coming. I have not looked at next years schedule, but I hope the BC OOC games continue.

Miller is certainly a fun player to watch. If I had to pick a "Playmaker of the year", it would be a toss up between Miller and Flanagan. Both will have great futures ahead of them (Flanagan is already doing very well with the ADK Phantoms).
