Not really, and I've followed it up by ****ing away $125 in Paigow Poker in about 10 minutes. I'm trying to absorb all the bad luck to leave only good luck for the hockey team. Was the breakfast good? I need a place to eat

Lose and I think it's more like 80% chance we are out of NCAAs.
Statistically, our chances of the tournament are pretty good even if we lose today.
But if we lose today, we really don't deserve it.
Essentially, if we lose today we'll want 3 of Union, Wisconsin, Mass-Lowell, and Notre Dame/Miami to win their tournaments, and in all cases those are the higher seeded teams.
Someone remind me why the ECAC still has a consolation game?
Well in cases like this, if the three said teams do not win their respective tournaments then you guys would need a win in the "consolation game" that you speak of just to make it. For Yale it's win and you're in!![]()
Speaking of St. Lawrence, didn't they miss an NCAA bid just 3 or 4 years ago because of the consolation game? IIRC, in that game, St. Lawrence actually won the game, but for NCAA purposes it was recorded as a tie.
Some slight good news for Yale: Notre Dame leads Ohio State 3-1 late in the 3rd period.
I had completely forgotten about that. Thanks for reminding me![]()
So, you're with me in wanting the elimination of that game? ;-)
Final in Detroit: Notre Dame 3, Ohio State 1.
Agreed. In one sense, if you lose three times in one year to QU you probably don't deserve to get in anyway.
Just bought tickets. Mrs. Goblue78 and I are in 220 row J. I'll be wearing the 78 hat. Stop by and we can drink... Celebration or commiseration.
I can't tell sitting here on my cellphone when the last time was that Yale was shutout two games in a row. But take heart! With a Lowell win tonight and a Notre Dame win tomorrow, believe it or not, we're still in... Apparently. This weekend has been extraordinarily depressing.
How It Gets In:
How do the four remaining teams left for two spots get in?
St. Cloud State: Either BU or Michigan loses
Yale: Both BU and Michigan loses
BU: Win
Michigan: Win
It looks to me like Yale is out with Michigan's win this afternoon. Does anyone see it differently?
Thanks...just saw that...looks like Michigan and BU are the two teams that can steal the last spot from Yale.
Upon a double check my previous post is correct. Notre Dame needs to win tomorrow for you guys to make the tournament. This doesn't even matter which one of the two between Wisconsin and CC win tonight!
