Per Chip Malafronte at the New Haven Register, Nico Weberg is out for the SLU series due to a concussion suffered in the Cornell game. His speed and forechecking will be missed.

Hey, Licwinko. I am extremely ****** that the games are on America One and not on Yale All Access in crystal-clear HD, particularly in light of my role in bringing the latter to fruition. Needless to say, I would be at The Whale were it not for patient care obligations. I am counting on you to root the Bulldogs to victory. If we get there, dinner in A. C. is on me !!! Thanks, Doc. That is lame that the broadcast got co-opted. I will be the 7th man Saturday, but tomorrow my friend Paul wants me to check him out in Hamlet at the Yale Rep...give him some notes. (they're in previews)

AHA !!! That would be none other than Mr. Giamatti; I have never had the pleasure, but I am a big fan of his; I knew his Dad, Bart, quite well. There was a REAL Renaissance man (and a HUGE Red Sox fan to boot). The apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

Just keep Paul off the ****** Merlot, so he remembers his lines. Such a thespian should not be remembered for that and PigVomit. Just got permission to slide on down to AC Doc. Hope to see you there!

I will definitely be there, LT.......one way or the other. I thought you were going to join the "in crowd" at Mory's after my accurate prediction that the Bulldogs would get a bye with a Senior Weekend sweep !!!

I wish that I could have, family obligations after the game kept me away. Doc, you should push for the "banquet on ice" again for the team this year. I am not sure if you were there two years ago, but that was an interesting time that I quite enjoyed. Maybe they only did it because of the rededication of the rink. Sorry that you can't be here this weekend, I think we have a good shot if Jeff plays well and they shadow Carey, Flanagan and Hughes with good defense. SLU is down to five D-Men which should help as well.

I'm bummed to miss the opening game, but watching a bunch of tight-wearing, funny-talking, weirdos pretend to get hurt is a lot like watching SLU anyway...

I don't believe SLU has equipment that broadcast in HD. Because of that, that doesn't mean America One can not broadcast in HD. If Yale is using their same equipment to upload, America One may broadcast it in HD. Hopefully the folks who do the broadcast from Yale know.

Those were the 2 worst games in terms of video quality, SLU was marginally acceptable while Dartmouth was atrocious. Reminded me of the quality of the picture on our first color TV when I was growing up as a kid and you used an antenna to receive the picture. See my post in the Quinny thread.

As far as I know, most ECAC rinks don't have HD equipment like Yale All-Access. So there's a possibility that tonight's feed will be in HD, but since it has to go through the America One video player, I wouldn't make any guarantees. Video quality will likely be better than SLU and Dartmouth's, however.

This is also a good time to remind everyone that every quarterfinal game at Ingalls will be broadcast for free on WYBC.com and WYBC-AM 1340 in Connecticut. Our pregame coverage for each game will begin at 6:40 pm EDT before the puck drops at 7. This weekend's broadcasts will feature some talented WYBC alumni because students are on spring break. We're also supplying the audio for the America One video feed, which I believe goes live at 6:55 each night.
