Yale Bulldogs 2014 off season. Looking forward!

Re: Yale Bulldogs 2014 off season. Looking forward!

Frozen Holiday Classic announced
by Ryan Fay

The Union men's hockey team will play in the inaugural Frozen Holiday Classic, Harbor Yard Sports and Entertainment announced Monday.

The four team tournament will take place at the Webster Bank Arena in Bridgeport, Conn on Dec. 27-28. The other three teams scheduled to compete are Quinnipiac, Connecticut and Sacred Heart.

Union's involvement appears to be a one-year deal. Yale will replace Union in 2015, making the tournament an all-Connecticut affair.

The Most Valuable Player of the Frozen Holiday Classic will be awarded the Tim Taylor Trophy. Taylor coached at Yale for 28 seasons before retiring in 2006 with a school record 337 wins. He passed away in 2013 at the age of 71.

Jesse root has been released from his ATO with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers. Second hand news was so he could graduate and make room for NHL players who need ice time.

He missed 21 games due to injury in 2012-2013, also.

Let's hope he has put the injury bug behind him.

It looks like the leg break was a fluke fall, the hip labrums are concerning, but he did come back and play a full 13-14 regular season.

A little change to the schedule: Merrimack announced, and you're not there. You still are full, though, because Northeastern announced you'll be playing them January 6th at the oldest college rink in the country.

How are your recruits this year? Going for speed? Were you in Phildelphia? I think I sat in front of you for the BC Game. Opposite corner to where all the Union Fans sat? Where do you think Yale will end up 2014-2015?

I was in Club box 4, the following article should answer your question about the recruits. Some size down the road it seems. I would like to see Yale finish in the top four of the ECAC.
