Yale at Colgate, 2/12/10

Re: Yale at Colgate, 2/12/10

Yale sounding strong. A goal in last minute of each period is a killer for Colgate.
Blasé looking solid as Yale kills off more than 1:30 of 5-on-3
Colgate getting chippy. Will Yale be on PP to start the 3rd?

Re: Yale at Colgate, 2/12/10

Another period, another last minute goal. Terrible. Overall, the effort wasn't bad, but this period lacked the breakneck speed of the 1st. On the one hand, that's probably better, given Yale's ability to strike quickly. On the other, we needed 2 goals. Now we need 3. Delightful. I'm not giving up, but we have got to start converting offensive chances. Failing to score on a 5x3 is a huge missed opportunity. Little went for a spill at the end of the period and a small scrum broke out. Looks like there'll be some penalties to start the 3rd

Re: Yale at Colgate, 2/12/10

Some more extracurriculars after the horn, hopefully nothing comes of it. This game was probably lost with the late 1st period goal. Those last minute goals will just break you down. Giving up the two goals late in the 2nd and early 3rd were the nails in the coffin. Otherwise, not much good to say about this for Colgate. Too many penalties, and the PP continues to struggle. Yale was a lot better tonight, they converted on most of their chances, and showed why they're up near the top of the League. This is one of those you put behind you and just focus on tomorrow, and Brown
