What ever happened to the old addage, "If It ain't broke, Don't fix it!"

Syracuse.com updated their forums about a month ago and it is still a mess. I hope USCHO gets everything working as good as it was before the upgrade.

There's two addages I think of after the changeover:

"Some people don't like change."

"Change is progress."

Re: WOW; What a Mess!!

I've never been a big proponent of the massive changes they make to the board design and website, but usually I end up coming around after awhile of using it and getting acclamated to where everything is and the new features.

I don't like change. There's a reason I vote Red :)

The old board was good, but at some point they'd have to upgrade as software packages expire, etc. In the long run, it'll be good, in the short run it'll suck.

YUP - quite the mess. Anybody else not able to stay logged in?? The "remember me" box won't let me check it so I have to log in every time . .

Tab over to it next time and you'll be able to check the box. Or try to post while not logged in, the log in screen there will let you click remember me.

Thanks a million for this! Worked way better than "click really, really hard" and "click a whole bunch of times extra-fast."

Re: WOW; What a Mess!!

Okay that did work. Hopefully some of these are just new software glitches

Re: WOW; What a Mess!!

Man this is terrible...why would you change right before the start of the season...Do this in the summer...

Re: WOW; What a Mess!!

Wow, guys, geez. It takes me 10 clicks to get to what I used to get to in 2; plus its slowwwwwwww. A better move for the site would have been to convert to Pointstreak. !!!!

Re: WOW; What a Mess!!

I wonder if it would be possible to put a link to the D3 forum back in the quick links area like it was before the change??

Re: WOW; What a Mess!!

The "Find all posts" search tool finds only those posts made since the conversion :(

Re: WOW; What a Mess!!

Nothing like Stout rolling out the biggest D-III news story of the last decade right before the start of the season either.

When are you going to grow up? I would have thought you would try to be at least a little more professional now that you are employed by one of the colleges discussed on this board.

That joke was just way out of line.

Re: WOW; What a Mess!!

Anyone check out the schedule page? I like it.
